Hey, do you have any suggestions for fun activities to do that are outside and don't cost any money? I'm both broke and bored of being in my apartment all the time.
It's been a while since I've seen you post recently, so I don't have a good grasp of the nature of your boredom right now, but here are some ideas I've thought of:
Walking: walking around the neighborhood in the morning or evening can be good, but I hear people complain that it's hard to get a good start in a new place, and the walk doesn't have to be particularly long; there are also plenty of parks and nature preserves around
Going to a movie or the theater: not a bad idea if it's the right kind of movie and you're into it, although I've heard that "going to the movies" as a thing to do with friends can be kind of a thing people do when they are bored. (Some other fun activities are probably not worth it, because you need to have enough energy for them for them to be more fun than just sitting alone doing nothing)
Cooking: this could be an elaborate meal or just some snacks or a cup of coffee, but if you're in the mood for it (and have time, as I'm sure you are!) then getting up to make food and eat it could be fun in itself
Hanging out in a coffee shop or something: this is probably my favorite option, although it can be hard to do without really making eye contact with anyone because coffee shops are often not designed to facilitate this very well, and there are a lot of people around. But for whatever reason it's really fun to just talk about the usual subjects over coffee or tea or soda or food. The cafe is a neutral social space, there's nothing to look at or think about, but it's relaxing just to talk to people and have an unimportant conversation
Playing a board game: you could find someone and have a game of Go with them, or pick a game up that you already know, or get some online play together. Many games are also available online or are open source, so there's not even any money involved. If you already like playing games, then this is a low cost way to have a fun activity with people
If you have the spoons for it, getting out of bed and going for a walk through the neighborhood and looking at the sights
The point is, if you're bored, there are lots of free or low cost options out there, and they're fun. I don't know if some of them are specific to you, but some of these (especially walking) I hope might be good for you. (The last one is a general "out of the house" idea.)
Hope you're having a good week!
