Next Saturday I fight in Big D Nationals as part of the @europagamesexpo This is the biggest venue I'll fight in all year. I have to admit I'm kinda nervous. I don't look like someone that belongs at a fitness/bodybuilding expo, but karate and martial arts have turned this #shortfatmiddleagedwomandoeskarate into #slightlysmaller #stillshort #middleagedwomandoingkarate after that I get five weeks off before the last push of the season and getting ready for state championships. Last October, I could barely climb the stairs to the dojo. By the end of the year, I'll fight for a state title, and get promoted into the intermediate ranks in my style, #NipponKenpo #karate What a difference a year makes.
