Indigo "Blue Rose" Baythorne is the newest Rose synth in the "Baythorne" family of synths, a well trusted line of battle tested warriors among the Xionic order. A new line of synths is always planned at the start of a new Xionic imperial project, and Earth was no different with synths being made to incorporate Earth human DNA in their bio design. This plan came to a halt however with the reveal of the unique mutation that came about when Earth Homo sapien DNA mixed with Xionic sapien DNA.

Once things were stable, and the location of the mutation in the genome could be located, Synths with human DNA model became the norm on Earth. Rose was designed by Noel's own mother, Lady Zarah of Xion, as a custom model to help her son better exist in normal life as he's tasked with curing himself and the other hybrids.

As the son of an alien diplomat for an Intergalactic imperial force, Noel finds himself targeted by Anti-Xionic and rebellion forces for Earth. Whether that be assassins sent in the broad daylight or kill teams under the cover of darkness.

Rose isn't just made to protect Noel from Anti-Xionic forces, but also to protect others from Noel's condition. Her combat skills have been specialized to be able to fight opponents much larger than her, specifically the Xionic Earth hybrids. But combat isn't the only tool at Rose's disposal when it comes to Noel.

By sticking with the scientist, learning his habits, and trying things other than fighting, Rose is able to come up with new strategies to help Noel better manage his growing spells, though she keeps these new strategies a secret from Zarah.

However as a synth made for fighting she still relishes the fight, and won't back down when presented a challenge. Rose's combat skills are unmatched as the currently most advanced of her line and she's willing to do anything to an opponent to ensure Noel's safety, whether the person she's fighting is synth,xionic, or human, often terminating them swiftly and brutally.

Rose as a synthetic being has many special traits in her form, from generating weapons from her body, to having an alloy reinforced skeletal system to resist breaks and make every hit that much harder.

But the Synths most unique ability across all models/types and especially treasured in combat synths like Indigo is their ability of total and complete regeneration. Indigo can be killed and her physical form destroyed, her body reduced to nothing but as long as she can access the Xionic regen pods, her entire body and memories can be restored within a few short minutes, letting her back in the fight with a brand new body to wield.

Indigo's regeneration makes her nearly invincible as an opponent and arm of the Xionic order but also a bit reckless when it comes to her safety, something that of course stresses Noel. For Rose however, dying in combat and coming back to keep fighting is a completely normal part of her duties and life. But for Noel's and the other humans she's come to befriends sake she tries to be more careful, not wanting to upset them with her callousness to loss of life.

While she serves the Xionic Order faithfully she actually cannot stand much of the people or the society that she was made to protect. A lot of synths share this sentiment, being neutral or even hostile to their Xionic counterparts but feeling an obligation to them as their creators.

In Rose's case Noel's mother, Zarah had Indigo commissioned as a custom model and while Rose should answer to her, she regularly lies to her face and will find ways to blow her off. Zarah often makes Rose's job much more difficult by being a toxic and overbearing presence, making unexpected trips to the lab and making securing her and Noel more difficult.

As a custom build other synths also have friction with Indigo finding her to be frivolous in her design. This makes Indigo a bit of an outsider even to her synth family line. Even the way she has to stick close to the son of such an important figure in Xionic culture rubs certain synth the wrong way. Rose tries not to let these thing get under her skin, but it is another frustration in her day to day.

Rose's dedication isn't all pride however, as she has begun to discover romantic feelings for her charge. These new thoughts and impulses are strange to her and she tries to suppress them at the beginning of her security detail. But over time she finds her feelings allow her to make more informed choices about how to help Noel.

After seeing all the strife Noel's condition gives him, Rose is dedicated to undestanding him even at his most terrifying. She hopes to see him complete his cure for himself and the others in the hope that her station as his ward would end and maybe the two could be more than friends.

In the end Rose's archetype is that of the loyal knight, torn between duty in the love of the one she's meant to protect. Feelings of love and friendship however begin to open her eyes to things beyond duty and even helping her understand her own personhood.

Still the influence of the Xionic Order always looms over her as well as the threats on Earth from anti xionic forces, and even other synths.

How will the two fair against all these powers as Noel looks for his cure?

Noel is the son of a royal astronomer and the lead Neo Sapien ambassador who was in charge of making content with Earth. He isn't the only hybrid born at the beginning of the Neo Sapiens making contact with the planet, but he is one of the first conceived. However not too long after he an the others were born, a genetic mutation was discovered in the children. Under extreme stress the hybrids will grow to gigantic sizes, and in particularly overwhelming situations adopt a destructive persona.

Noel grows up isolated from both Earth and Neo Sapien society and spent a lot of childhood in an alien lab, having his giganticism studied in remote Neo Sapien labs far from Earth. Anytime out of that he spent with his father, Danny who home schooled him and taught Noel pride is his human heritage despite his isolation. He also taught him a love of science and research

In the three decades since first contact Neo Sapiens and Earth Humans have been in an uneasy alliance , with Neo Sapiens sharing their advanced technology but issuing a ban on Human/Neo Sapiens having children together, even frowning upon mixed coupling at all.

Despite this throughout high school and college Noel begins to explore physical intimacy with other humans as he reintegrates into society to go to study at University.

Around this time Noel's mother assigns a highly advanced Security Synthetic Android to his side (synth for short) This synth's name is Blue Rose. Security for Noel is her main focus, but protecting people from Noel is her back up objective, often deploying a range of methods to keep the scientist from losing control as he grows under stress.

While at first he finds her obtuse and invasive the two come to understand each other and Rose quickly becomes Noel's closest friend and confidant.

Often Noel has reintroduce or re-contextualize certain things on Earth for Rose. While she was given a pretty great set of reference data for Earth, it's many customs, and cultures, Neo Sapien understand leaves a bit to be desired.

Noel's mother as the lead ambassador has put her son in charge of finding a cure for the other Hybrids, a task he truly takes to heart. The Neo Sapien ambassadors fund and oversee all of Noel's research, as well as providing the build for his lab. At first they wanted the lab built off-planet to satisfy safety concerns, but Noel is able to convince his mom and the other ambassadors he'll get the best most consistent results on the planet the hybrids were born on.

Even though he is brilliant as a genetic researcher in his own right, and has a team of equally qualified researchers working with him, progress towards a true cure is often stalled by the Neo Sapiens themselves and their commitment to certain rigid social order

As lead researcher Noel still finds himself having to compromise for his mother and her fellow Neo Sapiens contradictory demands. Often resulting in more stress and more growing.

Luckily Rose is there to help manage this stress, if not directly, often interfacing with the Neo Sapiens and more easily being able to navigate around their double speak and demands

But Rose has her hands full. Anti-Neo Sapien sentiment has become common in the thirty years since contact and that Noel himself is a pretty high profile person due to his mother, the lab often faces attacks from armed terrorists

Rose does her best to keep Noel and the other scientists safe from attackers, but even as a high powered super weapon, she can be overwhelmed

Though in those scenarios the attackers may end up getting more than they bargained for given Noel's condition...
