Let's talk about my sizeshifter scientist Noel Rinbang

Name: Noel Rinbang
Occupation: Scientist/Geneticist
Species: Hybrid (Half Earth human (Homo Sapien)/Half Neo Sapien)
Age: 33 years old
Birthplace: Glasgow, Scotland
Likes: Dressing well, partying, vaping, beaches, swimming, coffee doing his job as researcher well, his fellow researchers at the lab, his security synth android Rose, his Father
Dislikes: Stuffy events, Investors and Shareholders,being under pressure, being isolated, watery coffee, waterfront resorts, long meetings, being micromanaged in his work
Wants: To cure himself and others of their stress based giantification, to be able to be intimate with people without hurting them/endangering them
Noel is the son of a royal astronomer and the lead Neo Sapien ambassador who was in charge of making content with Earth. He isn't the only hybrid born at the beginning of the Neo Sapiens making contact with the planet, but he is one of the first conceived. However not too long after he an the others were born, a genetic mutation was discovered in the children. Under extreme stress the hybrids will grow to gigantic sizes, and in particularly overwhelming situations adopt a destructive persona.
Noel grows up isolated from both Earth and Neo Sapien society and spent a lot of childhood in an alien lab, having his giganticism studied in remote Neo Sapien labs far from Earth. Anytime out of that he spent with his father, Danny who home schooled him and taught Noel pride is his human heritage despite his isolation. He also taught him a love of science and research
In the three decades since first contact Neo Sapiens and Earth Humans have been in an uneasy alliance , with Neo Sapiens sharing their advanced technology but issuing a ban on Human/Neo Sapiens having children together, even frowning upon mixed coupling at all.
Despite this throughout high school and college Noel begins to explore physical intimacy with other humans as he reintegrates into society to go to study at University.
Around this time Noel's mother assigns a highly advanced Security Synthetic Android to his side (synth for short) This synth's name is Blue Rose. Security for Noel is her main focus, but protecting people from Noel is her back up objective, often deploying a range of methods to keep the scientist from losing control as he grows under stress.
While at first he finds her obtuse and invasive the two come to understand each other and Rose quickly becomes Noel's closest friend and confidant.
Often Noel has reintroduce or re-contextualize certain things on Earth for Rose. While she was given a pretty great set of reference data for Earth, it's many customs, and cultures, Neo Sapien understand leaves a bit to be desired.
(I'll go more into Rose in her own separate character post)
Noel's mother as the lead ambassador has put her son in charge of finding a cure for the other Hybrids, a task he truly takes to heart. The Neo Sapien ambassadors fund and oversee all of Noel's research, as well as providing the build for his lab. At first they wanted the lab built off-planet to satisfy safety concerns, but Noel is able to convince his mom and the other ambassadors he'll get the best most consistent results on the planet the hybrids were born on.
Even though he is brilliant as a genetic researcher in his own right, and has a team of equally qualified researchers working with him, progress towards a true cure is often stalled by the Neo Sapiens themselves and their commitment to certain rigid social order
As lead researcher Noel still finds himself having to compromise for his mother and her fellow Neo Sapiens contradictory demands. Often resulting in more stress and more growing.
Luckily Rose is there to help manage this stress, if not directly, often interfacing with the Neo Sapiens and more easily being able to navigate around their double speak and demands
But Rose has her hands full. Anti-Neo Sapien sentiment has become common in the thirty years since contact and that Noel himself is a pretty high profile person due to his mother, the lab often faces attacks from armed terrorists
Rose does her best to keep Noel and the other scientists safe from attackers, but even as a high powered super weapon, she can be overwhelmed
Though in those scenarios the attackers may end up getting more than they bargained for given Noel's condition...

I am writing other stuff but those are totally original concepts that I am ignoring to make fanfiction, counting those it's 12 woag (based) ! (i should find one of those original story ask memes to reblog after this)
What fandoms/pairings are they for?
Four of them are Dragon Ball Z! And one is Pizza Tower. The DBZ ones main focus on the pairing of Gohan/Videl (my fujo first loves) but also feature an OC/Shin the supreme kai cause I shhipping my characters with prim twinks who on the verge of a mental break down it's fun and healthy for me I think!
One DBZ one is just a lore doc for that OC cause boy have I reworked their lore and iterations a lot this past year in writing "Suppress & Release".
The Pizza Tower fic is a werewolf AU and that's Gus/Peppino, IDK if I'll finish it though I'm thinking of reworking it.

In light of some changes to my life (writing professionally again😔) I gotta put all fanfics on an indefinite hiatus to focus on original and work projects. Sad about it but there's some light!
One is the last few chapters of the first part of "Suppress and Release" are in their final edits and when that's done I'm probably posting the thrilling conclusion all at once in a grand multi chapter update. It'll be a cliffhanger though lol but that was always the plan☺️🙂↔️
Second is since I'm pausing in writing the epilogue on "Ambered Romance" and any continuations I had in mind, I'm gonna do another idea I talked with some other DB fic writers but I'm not gonna fully spoil what that is here 😜 But I'll say this it will make the experience of this long one shot a bit more accessible and imaginative! So keep an eye on this Tumblr and the Maxitasca AO3
Third I can post about some of these original stories concepts! So I won't be down to zero output on this blog but there is gonna be a shift to more of my OCs and original stories. So if you followed me for dragon ball, I'm sorry and understand if this isn't the content your interested in. I'll still of course be in the fandom reblogging art and fics. Plus the original stuff will still feature stuff like G/t, monsterfuckery, TF, etc. so if you like that feel free to stick around!

I know I am invested in this cause I'm making an OC that fills that niche but I stand by that Gohan needed a similarly aged rival relationship by the time Namek really got going (ya know like Goku had Krillen)
