"Oh god. Oh fuck." She hissed, sprinting down toward the woods. Whoever was following her had definitely had a gun and they had definitely fired at her more than once. It had started as a failed mugging - she had gone the other direction as the man approached and he had decided to give chase, thinking she might actually stop to give him what he wanted. She had no money on her, wore nothing valuable. It was a meaningless assault. One she wanted no part of.
"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit," she cursed, reaching the treeline. She had no idea where she was going, no clue and if the man kept following her, she didn't know if she'd reach help in time. She had no choice but to sprint deeper in and hope his aim remained as shitty as it was. Of course, she'd have no such luck.
She saw the muzzle flash behind her, the light illuminating her path for a moment before the bullet grazed her left arm, causing her to cry out in pain and curse. She stumbled a bit, ducking behind a tree to catch her breath. "Somebody... please." She wheezed. She heard footfalls approaching, heavy tread and labored breathing. She pressed herself further into the bark of the tree, one hand clutched to her bleeding arm.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are, bitch. Daddy wants to play."
