I think we did a pretty good job for having never made it before!
It was in chunks already, pre-seasoned with paprika which I thought I wouldn't like, but we doctored it up at the end with some hickory bbq sauce and some natural wild flower honey.
I helped my mom figure out a recipe and method on how to cook it while she did the actual cooking on the grill itself. It made quite a.. lot.. of grease, which is no surprise, but the good ol turkey baster came in handy lol.
Images below the cut and how we cooked it:
We got it at kroger, it was $7 which was a steal I think?
My mom put the porkbelly on the grill in two pans (not sure the temp sadly) and cooked it for about 10 minutes then flipped it, checking it now and again while the bratwurst we had going and veggies cooked.
Once the meat was done and the fat nice and caramelized, we siphoned off most of the grease but left just a little bit so it didn't stick. Before we started, I had whipped up some hickory bbq and honey which we poured over the meat, making sure all sides were coated once it was all nice and brown/crispy looking.
Then we let it cook to the side while the rest of the food finished.

I don't have an image of mine but I got mine as a gift from a friend when they were for sale via a small shop on etsy. They're on amazon now I think? But i'm not 100% sure if it's the actual seller or just resellers by the reviews on them.. There's sooo many listings for them it's kinda sketchy.
Hi anon I hope you're having a beeutiful day today. :3
π² β’ what stops you from writing more in your free time?Β
Honestly ever since I had covid in 2021>22 (it was december into January) it like.. fried my brain??? I know it's a reported fact that it changes peoples brain chemistry/DNA and stuff but boy howdy did it fuck me up anon. :( I used to write and RP so much (see: ao3) and then after covid my brain just turned to mush. Then now that Iv'e got this mystery illness that hasn't helped things either..
BUT! I did have plotbunnies going rampant a few days ago during a dream/daydream and the next day wrote a 13 text box limits (nitro lite user) worth of it to my bestie of 18 years. I was so proud of myself. ^^

I'd have to say that the art from @pancakex3 of my dog, Tony, is by far my most favorite fanart, personal fanart anyway. :3 him and his lonnnnnnng legs hehe. I love Tony, he's such a good dog. He's getting old and it's starting to show and that makes me tear up, but I try to make sure he's well taken care of and loved the best I can.

Found a new Analog Horror series (and channel) I love:
Gloaming: The Town That Doesn't Exist
---
By Tedorate on YT / @tedorate on tumblr! :3
Their video on Gorgon's Garden and Crossfire_fun are also two of my favorites that I've recently watched and fell in love with. I love not only how they narrate the story but also how they make their videos in general. ^^
You know me and my love for spooky things hehe.
I also updated my Analog Horror rec list to include this video too!
