      He was warm and calm and he could almost feel Evan’s heartbeat racing as his body was pressed against his own. Milo’s fingertips ghosted down the length of the boy’s spine gently and he closed his eyes as he thought about it. No matter how much he’d actually panicked, it happened…and the other boy was okay.

     Milo was gentle and made it worthwhile, nothing was rushed and now they laid there as Evan slowly let sleep take over. The bigger of the two sighed quietly and he glanced down, Evan had his arms wrapped around him while his head rested against Milo’s abdomen and Milo just smiled warmly at the sight.

     His long fingers brushed through Evan’s curls and he dropped his head back against the pillow. He grimaced thinking about the bruises that covered certain parts of the boy’s body…ones that he hadn’t made…the ones that caused Milo’s blood to boil.

      He paid attention to each and every single one of them…pressing kisses against them…the gentlest of them. And now, Evan looked so peaceful and Milo wanted to be the reason that he always held that expression.
