We wanted to make a Toni Morrison book display, so we searched the entire building, and we found exactly four books. All of her novels in English were already checked out -- many of them have been out for a while because they’re on summer reading lists every year. But we did find one novel left in Spanish, some nonfiction (by her and about her), and ... a picture book???
Since there are so many holds on books that have anything to do with Toni Morrison, this display will probably last less than a day. And since this was the only circulating copy of that picture book left in the system, we’re probably not going to see it again for a while. So I took a few extra pictures to shine a spotlight on Who’s Got Game? Poppy or the Snake?, which she co-wrote with her son Slade Morrison:
