I'm gonna go with yes? The question mark is only because I'm not sure I'll be able to fit much of them "Being a Couple" into the comic since "Reverser" is so late in the episode order. What I'm attempting to do is plant smaller seeds to grow later so that when they become a couple in "Reverser" it won't be out of nowhere and shoved into one episode.

In canon, in "Reverser" the two don't know each other. Marc admires his artwork (maybe has a crush?) but Nathaniel doesn't know Marc at all, so jumping from that to a relationship always seemed weak to me, especially when Nathaniel in that episode hurts Marc in a pretty inexcusable way. I want the change in relationship status to make some sense at least and I won't have episodes afterwards to get from Point A Working Together -> Point B Being Together. It basically has to be contained within "Reverser".

I wasn't even being selective, this is how many times you see him (excluding the back of his head) this season.

And as far as your question goes, in the beginning my plan was mostly to not downplay any of those relationships, but after The Pharaoh where I elevated Alix to a stronger role, I’ve decided to give the class more prominent roles in relevant episodes to boost up their hero potential, so I’ll use those opportunities to emphasis those relationships.

I also understand that for actual satisfaction these relationships do need to be defined as Girlfriend/Girlfriend and Boyfriend/Boyfriend, etc, and I will be outright using those labels when they come up. 

Hard to say. Technically he does/did in canon? The problem is Marinette’s suitors are either short lived or non active in their pursuit. She’s had Theo (for Ladybug), Nathaniel, Nino, and now Luka. 

But AdriChat doesn’t respond well to romantic rivals. At least not in the one instance where someone was pursing the version of the hero he was in love with. So REWRITE.

First, Nino probably wouldn’t get a crush on Marinette to start with. When you know your friend is into someone, you DON’T look at them romantically (in my opinion if you’re a good person). Plus while I actually see super subtle gestures that built to it, Nino’s crush was pretty much a flash in a pan. So eliminating it wouldn’t be that hard.

With Nathaniel, he’s very secretive about his crush, to the point where I’m not sure he still has one??? It’s implied by the big X over his ‘save Marinette’ comic that he’s moved on, but it’s not like he remembered anything as Evillustrator so I’m not sure what would motivate such a thing, other than everyone knows she’s into Adrien and now that his crush is known he pretty much has no chance.

But they’re still friends. If Adrien tried to pull a Copycat and lie about him and Marinette being in a relationship, it would get back to Marinette and she DOESN’T. LIKE. LIARS. GAWD. I can see Adrien keeping an eye on him but otherwise not feeling threatened by Nathaniel. He seems to be sabotaging himself. Adrien doesn’t need to be on the defense.

Theo pretty much writes himself out. No Ladybug, no opposition. Still haven’t decided if he’ll be into Scarlet Lady or Chat Noir, but we’ll get there.

And Luka. Sweet, chill, not actually threatening Luka. He’s so relaxed and ineffectual it would actually take a while for Adrien to recognize him AS a rival. I’d probably have to write him in sooner to set him up as a genuine love rival because by then Marinette would probably be recognizing her feelings for Adrien AND Chat Noir and throwing a third in there would probably just make her swear off love altogether.
