Skywalker Strikes! Apparently this set is less about Luke attending the Yavin Ceremony and more about his adventures on the recent Marvel Star Wars comic run, as the lack of the medal in the otherwise equipment laden set, as well as the cover art of the set suggests. I seem to have forgotten what the comics were about, while Luke wore this outfit—which by the way is my favorite outfit for Luke—but apparently there was something going on about a suitcase and a book, both with Aurabesh written on them. This set also comes with the training ball and the helmet Luke used on board the Millennium Falcon to practice his touch with The Force. Hasbro’s attempt of getting this firing effect to work is interesting in comparison to what shfiguarts did. some time ago with their Luke figure, as the ball stands on its own stand and is this decoupled from the lightsaber’s blaster reflection. I don’t remember Luke training with this ball and helmet while wearing this outfit but maybe I just should re-read the comics from a few years ago. The figure feels great to play with and gives an overall satisfying impression, however it would have been great if shoulders, elbows, and hands would have allowed for even more flexibility in regards of holding the lightsaber in both hands. They showed how it can work with the Jaina Solo figure. Great figure otherwise, no medal though. #starwars #actionfigures #lukeskywalker #yavinceremony #skywalkerstrikes #aurabesh #marvelstarwars #marvelcomics #blackseries https://www.instagram.com/p/B5im3GNqNPc/?igshid=13m11o31qxv31
