Luke knew that his method of training wasn’t how it was back when his father was a Padawan, but Luke refused to think that there was anything wrong with how he received his Jedi training. Maybe the circumstances weren’t perfect, but the fault with that didn’t rest on his father, who still managed to teach Luke how to be a jedi. Now that it was Luke’s turn, he felt like he appreciated that properly for the first time, wondering if his and Leia’s training was difficult when there should have been the entire Order to fall back on, the entire temple.
“Do you have any tips?” His nervousness wouldn’t bring anything useful to the future lessons with Grogu, but Luke chose to view it as a sign that he cared about doing it right, and then let it go, focusing on doing what he could do to prepare for any problems that would come up. He was an adult, but going to @skysith for advice was making use of your resources. “I know it will be an adjusting process for the both of us, but I’d appreciate it if you could tell me of any difficulties that are common with this so I can be ready to deal with them.”

but din hears a phrase, one he’s heard before, and suddenly —he knows who that is. a small step towards the imposing figure, his face knitting together behind his own mask. ‘anakin?’ he’d tried looking for him once but came up with the news that ALL JETTI WERE GONE now and figured that included his old friend. but who else would it be ?? anakin had the nerve to hire him and not say who he was, to wear a helmet and pretend they hadnt known each other for countless years. leaning to the side and tilting his head, din can’t help the dry remark, ‘what, so you’ve taken up the creed?’
@skysith ❤️’d !
in a way, she was an extension of him — she could feel what he did, they became one in battle, and she was always at his side. her loyalty was to him above all else, so it’s with the utmost sincerity ( though perhaps a courtesy as well ) when she asks, “ how are you feeling ? ”
@skysith asked: “ i have a lot of regrets. ”
The thing about being silent was that people started talking to you to fill the silence. Din wasn't entirely sure what it was about silence that made people so uncomfortable, but it wasn't a trait that was common across all species. It seemed to be humans that were impacted the most and not even Jedi, with their meditation and so called calm, were impervious to it.
Then again, Din had the impression that the Jedi he met weren't exactly the stereotype for Jedi and likely none of them truly counted, so Din could admit that any opinion he could give on them was likely as bullshit as any opinion they could give on Mandalorians.
Usually, Din didn't care much for whatever people talked about to fill the silence, but it was interesting to see just what they would talk about. In this case, Din felt the urge to prop his chin on his hand and just stare, finally understanding what people meant when they said they felt the urge to study someone like a bug.
Jedi were, in his unprofessional and uncertified opinion, ridiculous and disasters.
"And have you tried doing anything about those regrets?" Din finally asked, curiosity getting the better of him.

@skysith . “ as you all know , i excel at having opinions . “
brows lift, tight little smile on her lips as her head turns in acknowledgment — “ especially when nobody has asked for them,” taking in the face of anakin skywalker, her smile widened, glinting sharply, and she wonders perhaps if she should rouse luke or not — certainly at least, she didn’t have to deal with the visiting force spirit. though maybe not the politeness one should show their soon-to-be father in law, “ vader . you certainly look different the last time we were face to face . “
though she wondered if necessarily different from the last time — forgiveness . the jedi way was the path of forgiveness, and that was the life she’d began to join . commit to fully, now. yet she’d known this man. she’d known what he’d been before he’d been brought back to the light . weariness , accompanied with her natural inclination towards stubbornness — SHE WAS NOT SO FORGIVING . “ out with it, then. what is it ? “
whatever he wanted to say, it was better to face it now rather than resulting in the bad omen taking the form of the former sith lord. “ every other imperial seems to have something to say to me these days — why should it surprise me you’re no different ?”
@skysith > sc.
“--- this must be soul crushing for you.”
@skysith liked .
and just like that, everything inside of her tenses, coming to weary attention as she regards him. fear was likely to get her killed, but outright contempt — was going to get her killed as well. she counted too much on her favor with her master to reign him in, she knows. vader was his sith apprentice, and she - although carrying out his will, as well. was not so. “ to what do i owe the pleasure ? “ why now ? what could possibly result in this ? maybe he had finally decided to risk the emperor’s ire.
