I don't have 10 WIPs, so I'll share lines from the ones I intend on posting one day or another.

1. When all senses of normalcy and chances of prosperity have been consumed by darkness, lost to the void, one looks around in any and all directions for a glimmer of light. As time carries on, desperation manifests as a demon, digging its claws in its target. Higher and higher up the spine it moves, piercing the heart and lungs in its journey. (for ATLA WTF weekend 🤫)

2. It had been five years since. Five long years since Mel had seen Jayce last. Since she’s felt his presence. Or rather, recognized the flex in the flare of her sigils she now knows was attributed to his disappearance from this world. (Mel Medarda/Jayce Talis)

3. A low noise radiated from Jayce’s throat as he crouched down on the under car roller, ready to slide underneath the car. The reparation and restoration project has been coming along quite well, but there was the matter of addressing a fair amount of corrosion to the underside of the car. The original parts were too far gone and he dug into his savings— a bit more than he’d intended, but it would be well worth it in the long run— for new components. (I Can Fix That Ch 6)

4. The glass beakers clinked against each other in a hollow toast. Last one returning to its home as Sky knelt down to the bottom cabinets of the lab space to put them away in proper order. The final bell rung a little over an hour ago and once straggler students had their revision questions answered in anticipation of the upcoming lab practical, she had taken to cleaning her classroom materials tools and straightening up the rest of the space, clearing her mind for the following workday. 5. “Is he there?”

“Yes he is.”

The sigh of relief Gyatso let out on the other side of the line was near transmittable to Roku’s side.

“Thank the Spirits… I– I’ll be there soon. Just, um, don’t let him get anywhere. He’s a quick one.”

Roku let out a weary chuckle. “No worries there, friend. Looking at him right now… I honestly don’t think he has it in him right now. He needs you, Gyatso.” (Gyatso/Malaya)

MELJAY SEVEN YEAR TIME GAP

I WANNA WRITE IT SOOOO BAD! I have the idea of writing it from the POV of a Piltovan gossip/news reporter who interviews them and their colleagues over the years unde the guise of inquiring of HexTech's development. Each chapter being an article or something similar. The reporter is using their time to steadily pick up on how Mel and Jayce become closer during that time skip, eventually getting into their relationship at the end of the seven years. 

9 ⧽. tell us about a wip/idea that you're excited about!

I mentioned a Skyno WIP in the previous ask, so I’ll go into that. There’s still plenty to write on, but it’s set in a university where ecologist teacher Sky Young is introduced to the faculty’s newest member Kino Medarda who will teach astronomy. It is not love at first sight. The man’s behavior quite bothers her tbh. Over time as they get to know each other, they find balance and they see the depth of each other’s worth as the two of them have learned to mask or cope with the struggles of academia differently 

I am also halfway through a “there was only one bed” fic for meljay which I may save for Meljay week or work on it earlier, depending on how the inspiration and free time behaves
