I would say either Magic or Tech for mine, and it's hard to say which I prefer.

I think Magic has by far the most overall unique character designs and varied powersets, giving them the most visual appeal. Pop Fizz, Star Strike, Double Trouble, Ninjini and Mysticat are all so unique looking in places where other elements can sometimes all look the same.

Do you think this would've be a good crossover for skylanders since he welcomed Bowser, Donkey kong and Crash bandicoot?

After Superchargers I feel skylanders vibes even in Mario games but I admit that I'd love to see Peach performing alongside Freeze blade & Nancy from Spyro 3 or fighting against Night shade from Trap team.

Is making a new set of elements for an "F-Mix" version of Skylanders a bit much? The element system is is inspired by the Legend of Spyro Dawn of the Dragon breath types, with Metal being the only made up on lol.

Yeah I think that's pretty much how the original chain would go. I believe they usually explain that Tech is powered by Magic in the Magic and Tech book, but at the same time Tech is also the element of "Science and Reason" in a land of infinite sky and floating islands lol.

Ever since Light and Dark were added though, I've always liked doing a new system that's kinda like pokemon... But with no immunities, and the added quirk of Opposite elements being equally powerful against each other.

Tech and Magic are actually the two elements that combine together just as easily as they clash. Get a magic expert like Popfizz or Double trouble and the crazy tech minds of Trigger happy or Sprocket together and they could probably make something amazing. The Arkeyan empire got as strong as it did when combining magic and tech.

While Water can extinguish flames, intense heat can also melt ice and cause water to evaporate.

All living things die for sure, but plants and fungus also thrive on the nutrients of decaying matter.

Air types are lighter and faster and can probably wear down an earth type. But if that heavy and powerful Earth type manages to smash the air type, there's no way that lightweight is taking that blow. It's like an even clash between and unstoppable force like a storm and an immovable object like a mountain if that makes sense.

And then Light and Dark are always on equal terms. Light can overpower Darkness just as easily as Darkness can consume the light.

I call it "The Ancient Core" rather than "Core of Light" because all 10 elements are balanced within this version. And "Core" and "Corrupt" are the Good/evil elements as opposed to Light and Dark. Life and Light having a high and mighty/holy image in the eyes of many due to their close appearance to Core, and Undead and Dark having a bad reputation due to their close appearance to Corrupt. In Reality these elements are as equally good/evil as any other element. Core is the only purely good, and Corrupt is the only purely evil, as both of these portal master exclusive elements are all 10 of the standard elements combined and used at the will of their respective portal masters.

The Ancient disk- Crafted by the storm giants to be light, yet durable. Used to mark the location of the core's based buried in the island. Also acts as a funnel to attract the Eternal Air source.

The Twinspouts- carved from the golden teeth of an ancient leviathan. It uncovers the pipework to contain the forever flowing Eternal water Source.

Earthen Emerald- and Emerald with the most brilliant and perfect cut, found centuries ago by molekin, and the only thing pressurized enough to contain both the Eternal Earth and Magic sources, providing stability to the core.

The crystal eye- Crafted by the wise Cyclopes in order to house the Eternal Light source, shooting a brilliant beam of light up into the sky.

Mystic mushrooms- grown within a secret Grove guarded by the fae, these mushrooms provide extra nutrients for the Eternal life source, in order for it to safely balance with the Undead source.

The golden gear- Plucked from the machinery of the universe by the brave angel paladins, this Gear forms the intricate clockwork within the core.

Green primordial goo- formed from the fossils of ancient explodasoars who sank within the slimy depths of the Great swamp of Glorp, this substance oils the machine and provides an energy boost to the technological components.

Dark eye of tomorrow- Crafted by demons to gaze into the future, this is the only mysterious relic capable of housing the Eternal Dark source, in order to balance put the Light within the core.

Skull mask of Mortalamis: Mortalamis was the first ruler of the undead, despite not being a skeletal or ghoulish creature. His mask is sacred amongst the Undead, and thus was considered the only worthy vessel to house the Eternal Undead source within the core.

Crucible of the Ages- Forged within the fires of Dragons and Phenixes, two creatures that rarely ever got along, it contains the incredible heat of the eternal Fire source.
