The Progenitor is the fused monster made from Aether and Skotus. While Skotus himself is barely there, Amberose infused his essence within Aether’s broken body, leaving her in a half-dead state but making her the ultimate monster spawning machine. When an Endling is killed, their physical being is given to the Blight along with their minds, but their souls or whatever are allowed to fester within The Progenitor and eventually rip themselves out as a monster. Monsters can also be spawned on the fly, but they are weaker and easier to kill.
Amberose often speaks to the Progenitor. It never speaks back.

Azrael and Tiamat’s dynamic kinda got stale for me real quick so I decided to rework it a little
I can’t emphasize this enough, Azrael is ancient. He’s the eldest of the Null’s offspring and one of the guardians of Liminal Space, and is capable of power that could quite literally blow your mind. He’s always learning, always adapting, and holds knowledge to things from before even time itself was a concept.
Tiamat, before she was queen, was just a simple lady, a young Liminal God. She sought to be a scholar, and sent a prayer to the Null that she’d be able to learn everything she could, in hopes of bringing her species to a brighter age. She didn’t expect her prayer to be answered via a giant shadow serpent knocking on her door. But Tiamat wasn’t one to look a gift horse in the mouth, and the two began to chat.
Even after Tiamat became the brightest scholar of her species, she continued to contact Azrael despite her prayer being answered. She just liked hanging out with the guy, and Azrael had gotten attached. The two grew closer, and eventually the Null told Azrael to just go to her. He did, and while he never became royalty himself (he was still a being of the Null and had to protect the fabric of reality itself), his union with Tiamat made him the unofficial king of the Liminal Gods. With Tiamat’s compassion and his wisdom, the two brought about a golden age for Liminal Space, and a connection to the god they worshipped. Life was good. The two were happy.

Redesigned Apofis’s Family and finally confirmed his father
Tiamat was a devoted mother, but Azrael wasn’t the most present father, and he and Tiamat split shortly after the concieving of their children on mutual terms. Due to his job, he was away from his mate and offspring a lot and was too busy keeping all of reality from falling apart. But he did care about his kids and would sometimes let them accompany him during his wanderings through Liminal Space, and was willing to dispense some useful (albeit cryptic) advice when they asked.

More like a guardian angel than a parent, Azrael was one of Liminal Space’s last guardian protectors, and when the Null was banished, he lost a lot of his fellow old gods to his son. Unfortunately, following a grueling battle, he found himself unable to kill Apofis. His son. His child. This sudden feeling of empathy was his downfall, and Azrael now roams as one of the many shadows trapped deep in the depths of his home realm, festering with his fellow gods.
Fun fact: In the first draft of Limestuck, Azrael was the one who helped Lilith ascend. He and Tiamat weren’t confirmed lovers, but I shipped it.
Created to guard Liminal Space alongside his other siblings, Skotus fell in love with and became the mate of Aether, one of the Obscura who had been chosen to bridge the gap between her kind and their god. Alongside his mate, he guarded Liminal Space, but was ultimately downed by Amberose and while he couldn't be truly killed, he was forcefully fused with Aether, serving as the corrupting lifeblood that runs through the Progenitor's body.
