sharing a potential hc i haven't really been able to fully commit to
...dunno what to call it other than 'synth tinnitus' ? i imagine there has to be some kind of side effects to playing the wrong patch on someone and gary's older model could make him more susceptible to them
but basically it causes him to still hear the incorrect patch he was stuck on, his just happens to be the most godawful sound 😭😭 currently only occurs sporadically at least; ranges from mild nuisance (just the ringing) to absolute day ruiner (terrible migraines)
not sure how it works exactly it's mostly an internal issue (something got stuck perhaps) bc otherwise it functions as intended. maybe it could be fixed by upgrading/tweaking his synth? but he is a bit stubborn he's not gonna go back to synthos to deal w it if he can manage. prolonging the inevitable
