hating all men and masculinity as a whole is so "hello kitty says acab" to me in that its like putting a princess bandage over hundreds (upon thousands) of years of crumbling infrastructure
you don't actually have to question any of the patriarchal biases you grew up with, men are *supposed* to be seen as strong domineering predators and women are *supposed* to be seen as pure and fragile and victimized.
actually transgressing these beliefs would require seeing people as people with complex individual experiences, and not as monoliths, because that is exactly how prejudice and bigotry is bred.
this isn't to say "not all men" in the quippy bullshit way that misogynists use to defend their complicity in a misogynistic culture. what i mean is that hatred based upon traits one cannot change is useless in enacting real societal and ideological change.
the only purpose hating men serves is to vent your anger on the men who have hurt you or the people you care about, which is real and truly painful, but it is not something to base your beliefs and morals upon.
