␛ for an ANGER headcanon
Quickest way to make Ace angry? Steal from her. Even though she’s a thief, she doesn’t tolerate it. Call her selfish or hypocritical, fine, she’ll simply agree while punching you in the face. There are very few things Ace carries with her that hold any value (most of the money she makes off jobs is immediately spent on food, clothes, and ship repairs) and they are immensely important to her. Her ship is her baby. Touch her and you’re dead to Ace. Her arsenal and other tech are the only things that keep her alive while on the job. She invests a lot of money in them in order to get the top of the line shit. If any of it goes missing, she’d be sick over how much money she lost. So if you have the balls to steal from her, I hope you’re ready to have her hunt you down. Cause she’s going to want to make you cry before getting her shit back.
♆ for a BODY headcanon
Ace has a love affair with tattoos springing from her quantarian heritage. Her father’s people are highly ritualistic and part of their belief system is that you should mark important events in your life with tattoos. While she isn’t exactly religious, she has definitely hung onto this belief. Currently, Ace has three tattoos and she’s looking to get more. The only issue is that she hasn’t come across anyone that she trusts and has enough money to hire.[ 1 ] Behind her right ear, she has three blue stars to represent the members of her family. She got it before she went on the run and her father was actually the one who did it. It’s the simplest and the favorite of her tattoos.[ 2 ] Just above the line of her pubic hair, she has the words “lucky you” in quantarian (her native language). She refers to this tattoo as a conversation starter, but it’s mostly just a result of her massive ego. Ace also refuses to translate it for anyone who asks about it which she thinks is hilarious albeit annoying.[ 3 ] Her largest tattoo is one of her starship flying through the stars on her upper right arm. It took forever and is the one she is most likely to pay for to get touched up.
✄ for a PET PEEVE headcanon
Despite being a fairly morally corrupt person herself and not particularly liking children, Ace cannot stand when kids are bullied. She will drop whatever she’s doing to defend the victim in a heartbeat. And she’s not going to hurt the bullies, but she definitely isn’t above terrifying a little kid if they’re a bully. It takes her back to her childhood when she was bullied and Ace is too insecure to actually deal with those emotions. Instead, she yells at little kids who bully. Because that’s healthy.
