*long post alert* This year #deepavali2020 or best known as #coviddeepavali was definitely different, my family and I didn't celebrate coz Pattima left us in June but there were so many reasons to celebrate, akka's Thala Deepavali, Baby Syama's first Deepavali, Janav's first deepavali too since he came home! Most importantly, I had my friends and family with me and that alone is enough, two of my cousins couldn't come back home for the festival coz they were stuck in Sabah & Sarawak. Both were married, and one had kids. One of my fav person's wedding been postponed a few times this year and she's still unsure of it. My therapist also told me that so many Malaysians stranded in Singapore are attempting suicide due to various reasons, hearing all this pains me so much and I can only pray for them, hopefully Krishna gives them the strength to hold on. 2020 was definitely a year that taught me so many lessons and with that I understand that life is uncertain. Period. Man proposes and God disposes. Life changed in a blink of an eye. The grass is always greener on the other side, instead let's appreciate the grass at our side, be content, and be happy! Thank you Krishna for all the trials you've put me through, it is only in these situations that I draw strength and wisdom from your words in Bhagavad Gita. I get to spend all my days this Deepavali at my friends' place and what else could I ask for. I'm truly blessed with the best people in my life and I'm so grateful for that! Also since I missed Kanna so much I decided to only drape the sarees he got me this Deepavali! 💜 Saree: my bday gift last year Saree blouse: mismatched from my kasavu saee Earrings: only RM10 from Tengku Kelana #sareenotsorry #sareeislove #sixyardsofsheerelegance #purpleislove #deepavali2020 #embraceyourcurves #embracetheflaws #embracethejourney #embraceyourculture #imissyoumama #ldr #thistooshallpass #icountmyblessingseveryday #thankyoukrishnaforeverything https://www.instagram.com/p/CIEISQFh3yL/?igshid=mttgcv1352ah
