Kaan had told her that Charley had booked a spot performing at Dingwalls, and she'd been wanting to speak with him but didn't have his number, so she decided to attend. It was a great time, and afterwards as the crowd cleared out, she approached him with a friendly wave. "Hey, Charley! You were great! I wanted to talk to you about something, do you have a minute?"
Perhaps she should have waited, given him a chance to sit and relax after the performance, but she was so excited, her question just couldn't wait. "Have you ever considered writing a song on commission? I have the lyrics already, or at least a starting point for the lyrics-- but I don't know where to start on the melody for it. I can read music but I just don't have what it takes to write a song..."
