Using a PS3 controller on your Galaxy Tab 7.7
Finally I had the guts to try this on my 7.7 tablet!
Android OS has tons of wonderful emulators, but on-screen virtual controls just don't hack it, so with a bit of research (and a bit of budget) I finally found a solid way to sync the sixaxis PS3 controller.
First, make sure that your device is COMPATIBLE.  To check, you can download this FREE app from the market to your device. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscompatibilitychecker
If you find that your device is compatible, then you have to ROOT your device. Â Rooting an android device doesn't really hack it or anything. Â It just gives you the equivalent of administrative access so you can modify things within, and not just on the surface.
I followed this simple guide to rooting a 7.7 so please do not blame me or ask me questions if something goes wrong.

Once you've rooted the device, you can buy and install the legit sixaxis controller app here: Â https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller&hl=en
Now you have to pair the controller. Â To do this you can use your standard USB cable to connect to the sixaxis but you will definitely need a samsung to USB converter. Â http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EPL-1PL0BEGSTA
for the full instructions of how to operate the app and the actual syncing procedure, here's the official instruction set from the developers of the app:

So there you have it! Â The whole procedure took me under 10 minutes to do so, with a bit of fumbling here and there. Â The one thing you DO NOT WANT TO fumble on is the rooting part. Â Like I said earlier, Â I only followed instructions from the blogs that I found so if you have any questions, please ask them, and not me hehehe.
