he’s pretty sure he’s going to spontaneously combust from the heat in his face. could he do that? can people just burst into flame from blushing too hard? he makes a mental note to ask logan later, because now is not the time.

“i uh-” how very eloquent, remus. mouth snaps shut because he doesn’t want to ruin this moment by thinking of butts, unless that butt is janus’s, or by thinking of the kraken he has waiting in the imagination for him and his morningstar. “i can say it!” he sounds more like he’s trying to convince himself to say it.

remus sanders does not lie. remus sanders has no filter. remus sanders lets thoughts pop out of his mouth like vomit. (what if word vomit was literal? not the time not the time not the time.) 

and remus sanders is hopelessly, wonderfully, terrifyingly in love with janus.

this is roman’s department. love, and passion, and romance, and sweeping men off their feet. this was never meant for the likes of remus. but the way butterflies float into his stomach (are there really butterflies in there? note to self, perform self autopsy when jan is asleep) and the way he can’t help but adore every word from the snakelike side’s mouth means that something has happened to the likes of remus. 

he decides that if janus loves him back, then he’d want the dark half of creativity to confess in a very remus way.

a thoughtful hum leaves the duke’s throat, mouth full of pins as he works. he’s working on a sweater for roman - it’s cold in the dark side of the mindscape, and though he knows his twin can conjure anything, remus...

remus wants to make him something.

a few more pins go into the fabric on the mannequin, and the intrusive thot has never been more thankful he and roman are the same size. blessings upon being part of the same man.

it’s easier to think, when his twin is with him. it’s easier to push the thoughts to the back of his mind, so they’re more a gentle stream rather than a raging river (of blood). being around people always helps, but being around roman? it’s always helped more. even though they don’t get along, even though they argue every five minutes, even though, even though, even though..

remus rocks back onto his heels, then forward again, unable to hold still for long. dark eyes dart around, hard pressed to settle on anything for more than a moment. he knows what he should know. he should know that he isn’t a disease. he should know that he isn’t bad. he should know these things, but.. well, after so many years of being reduced to those traits, he thinks it’s only fair that he’s decided to embrace them.

they made him into a dark side, and he decided to make himself proud of it.
