“What’d you get on the exam?” You exited the lecture hall, jogging for a few steps to catch up to Sam. You pull your jacket tighter around you as the wind hits you.

“94” He starts walking again once you’re next to him.

“Really?” Sam only nods as the two of you continue down the path that leads to the cafeteria. “Sam what the fuck” You nudge him with your elbow. “That’s so good”

“It could’ve been better” He shrugs.

“What do you mean ‘could’ve been better’ I only got a seventy. I’m pretty sure that prof hates me. I haven’t gotten a good mark on anything in that class so far and it’s my lowest mark” You continue to ramble on, only slowing to a stop when you notice the look Sam is giving you. One eyebrow raised and the other pulled into a smirk. “What?”

“Everything ends up about you somehow. It’s shocking really” He chuckles, the two of you stop once again.

“That’s because you let it end up about me” You cross your arms over your chest.

“And why would I do that?”

“Because you love me, that’s why” You start walking again and hear Sam from behind you.

The drive to the airport was silent except for the radio which played Lost In Japan on a low volume. Harrison’s hand sat on your knee and your hand was on top of his, fingers curled around the back of it.

You subconsciously hummed along to the song as you looked out the window at the buildings in the horizon that almost seemed to rotate, instead of passing, as you drove by.

Harrison brought your hand to his lips, kissing it gently and placing it back on your knee, never taking his eyes off the road. You smiled.

He pulled his luggage in one hand while the other held yours tightly, he ran his thumb over the soft skin of your hand. You walked with him as far into the airport as you could until he had to continue on his own. The two of you stopped and Haz turned to face you, his luggage sitting at his side as he took both of your hands in his and pulled them up to wrap around his neck.

“I don’t want you to go. I’m happy for you and you’re perfect for this role but I just don’t want you to leave” You played with the hairs at the nape of his neck and his hands rested on your waist.

“I know love. I’ll be back soon though.” Harrison pressed a kiss to your cheek, you felt tears start to well up in your eyes. It felt like he’d only just gotten back and now he was off again. One of his hands came up to brush away a tear that slipped out. His arms wrapped around your torso, pulling you tight against his body so your head was buried into his shoulder. He pressed a kiss to your hair and rested his cheek on your shoulder. “I’ll call, I’ll text, I promise. I know it’s not the same but it’s the best we can do”

You pulled away and pressed your lips to his, in a fraction of a second he was reciprocating. The two of you pulled apart and he rest his forehead against yours.

“Kiss me again” He mumbled and you did, both of you smiling into the kiss that last much longer than the first one.

“I’ll be back in two months” All you could do was nod while you tried to keep yourself composed. Harrison handed you the keys to the car, “Drive safe, love”

“I will, text me when you land please?” You put the keys into your pocket.

Date night.

It’d been much too long since you and Harrison had seen each other, he’d been away with Tom, and you’d been busy building your own career. So the first free night you got while he was back home, the two of you got dressed up and went out.

Harrison cane out of the hall in your flat, attempting to tie his tie around his neck. “Love, can you help me out”

You turned on your heels to face him, taking in the blue slacks and matching blazer. You thought for a moment, “Scrap it” You reaches up and took the tie off and unbuttoned the top button of his shirt. Straightening out the lapels of his jacket, you kissed his cheek. “Much better. Ready to go now?” He nodded.

Hours later, the two of you left the restaurant, laughing at a story Haz was telling. His hand was on your waist, pulling you close into his side.

Harrison pulled you along the path that lead into the park. It was getting colder but you ignored the chills that ran up your arms and caused goosebumps, you were too distracted by the deep blue sky above.

“Cassiopeia” You spoke softly, pointing up to the sky, Harrison looked up as well as the two of you stopped walking.

“I don’t see it”

“Okay so” Harrison leaned down to be closer to your height, he followed your finger. “So that first star right there, that’s the top, where her head is, and then down and to the right a little,” you pointed to the star. “That star is Ruchbah, and then from there it goes in kind of a zigzag pattern” You traced the shape of the constellation.

“I think I see it. What’s that super bright one?” He pointed to another star in the constellation.

“That’s Schedar, brightest one in Cassiopeia” You kept looking up but felt Harrison’s gaze fall on you.

“I’m sure Schedar wishes it was as bright as you are” You turned your head to look at him, a playful smirk on his lips.

“You, Harrison Osterfield, are the cheesiest person I have ever encountered in my entire lifetime” You started walking again, laughing lightly.

Harrison placed his hand back on your waist, pressing a small kiss to your cheek and mumbling into your skin “But you love me right. I know you do” He kissed your cheek again before pulling away.

“Maybe”

“Mm. How about definitely”

You rolled your eyes, unable to prevent the smile that pulled at your lips.

“Fine. I do. Since it’s you, I’ll let it slide. But only because it’s you”
