Women in Mahabharata - Devika Shaivya
She is the daughter of Govasana, the king of Sivi (modern-day central Pakistan). She chooses Yudhishthira as her husband at her swayamvara. It is unclear if she lived in Indraprastha, or in Sivi itself.
Her son is named Yaudheya (although in Matsya Purana, Yaudheya is the son of Prativindhya, Draupadi's son with Yudhishthira). There is hardly any information available except for a slight acknowledgement of their existence.
While Govasana fought alongside in the Pandavas in the war of Kurukshetra, Yaudheya did not participate. In fact, the clan of the Yaudheyas continues to rule in the general area of Sivi for generations after the war.
