Apologizing for the impetuous irruption in the landscape.

The action started around one hour before the sunset, and ended with the rst coming darkness. For the action I created two Camouflaged View-Finder, procedural artefacts made out of the most present plants in the wild elds: Erica and Thorn Blackberry.
By making these prototypes I studied the materiality of the plants that grow more around Cinque Terre when nobody shows up and the soil decides for itself. I challenged the exibility of the little final branches of Erica, covered with little green needle-shaped leaves which easily fall when the branch is not attached anymore to the trunk. Therefore, the robustness of my skin was tested by the spines of the Blackberry while I tried to arrange the spiky branches in a rounded shape. The intention behind these artefacts was to enact a mimesis with the environment and so try to enter smoothly in a metamorphosis from a human body into part of the landscape.
We put the artefacts on our head and let them partially cover our eyes, so our view was modi ed. This helped us to forget about the human capability of distinguishing all the elements of the surrounding and immerge in the situation. The usual human mobility was de-established as well, and thanks to
our partially-blind stillness the Others started again to show them- selves. A lot of birds started chatting with each other, singing and whistling in the bushes. One, two, three di erent singings! Some cars still resonated in the background, but they started loosing in importance and the sound of the river overlaid that noise. The light was changing and so the temperature, the colours of the late evening adhered on every surfaces and a wintery breeze reminded me of my human nature.
I ended my listening and gently posed the Erica-crown on the top of an old Pine’s trunk wonderfully covered by a splendid shine green Ivy necklace. Enrico didn’t move yet, still in his experience, his eyes covered with Blackberry’s leaves. He set down inside a huge coat, in the middle of a metamorphoses into a dark rock. After few more minutes he also opened the human eyes and left the crown on a branch of a tree wear in yellow.
