I have not yet completed Interactive Design and will not have that work until next spring.

For my site design i drew inspiration from Aldus Manutius and his triangle rags he used for paragraphing. Although i don't think this would function for About.com's website i do find it interesting. Aldus Manutius' work is beautiful and i know i'll look to him for creative energy later one.

This was a project with a partner where we had to choose a single webpage that we thought was boring or missing something and then turn it into something creative but also reflected the content.

I redesigned the website for the Dominican Joe coffee shop on Riverside and Congress. Their existing website is dark and heavy which does not reflect the atmosphere of the coffee shop at all. I selected my color palette by choosing colors they used in their decor. I wanted the website to be light, fun, and bold. There were a lot of hangups during the coding process that really slowed me down. Despite that, I was able to get it functioning and close to what I had in mind.

For this project I redesigned a Wikipedia page into a book format. Wikipedia has various images and table elements that I needed to incorporate into the text block. I chose to cleanly divide the page and place those elements there. I also chose to offset the text on the page a bit. The text blocks are pulled in towards the spine which was inspired by some of the old manuscripts I saw when I visited the Harry Ransom center on the UT campus.

My Vanity Salon site redesign attempts to simplify and clean up the existing website.

I chose to redesign the Vanity Salon website. I visited the salon and created a website that represented its environment. I designed a simple and easy to use website. This project was a challenge to me because it was my first time working with Dreamweaver.

My and my partner redesigned the Twitter account "Shit Designers Say" website in reflection of the Arts and Crafts Movement.
