Kade with some creatures 🐾
Today marks an entire decade since starting this project I thought I was gonna throw away after turning it in for a grade back in high school. Now I'm preparing for its comic launch this year. Crazy stuff

I'm so glad I didn't jump straight into the comic and experimented for a while first because, like most character designs, they always morph into something completely different over time.
Kade's change was the most dramatic (his name was also originally Kaize before I scrapped it). His original design stuck around for a bit where I even used it for some comic pages before I grew bored of it. For Mira's, I felt the need to simplify her more, so I began lumping more of her hair together and gave her a thinner appearance, which reflects her character and correlates to the story a lot better. I also had to change her necklaces since it's way easier to remember patterns than a bunch of random shapes like originally. Changes like this, you almost don't notice or remember until you set them side-by-side.
