(fluster meme) Surprise. It's only fair to be the one waiting in your place for once instead of the other way around. She is starting to see the appeal with the elated grins on the others faces. It's incredibly satisfying.
She comes bearing gifts. Some of Nina's favorite red on the table and holding out a book to Diedre with half a tempered smirk. You have quite the secret collection by the way. It was a little tricky to find the next one with it being out of print.
"You have me for a week. No phone." No interruptions.

It was hard to find Danielle Li outside of her office or Roman's club in her private booth, much less so casually on their couch. It IS a surprise. One that already had the taller henchgirls cocking their head curiously. The bottle on the table is a nice offering. It never lasts long here.
The other offered present makes Diedre's jaw drop a little, tinting her cheeks as she processed the offering. Later, she'll think to scold Nina for spilling about the collection under her bed, but for now she was too stunned to think about it. As it was, Nina was chuckling at the small mass market, and looping an arm around Dee's waist. It's cut off by the single bomb sentence that just dropped.
The room stilled for a solid three seconds. No sassy quips, no more laughing. Just quietly processing.
"Holy shit," Nina breathed. Her voice cracked on the second word. Her cheeks were already blooming red, pupils blown wide like she’d been sucker-punched. “You’re being for real?”
Workaholic, distant tease, Danielle Li was offering them a week of straight time. No phones, no running off, probably too much take-out food, and anything they wanted.
“I’m so serious,” Diedre finally managed, voice rougher than usual. She took one step toward Li, then another, like she was afraid the floor might vanish if she moved too fast. “If I hear that phone go off, Roman better be fucking dying. Otherwise whoever called is going to wish they were.”
For all intents and purposes the rest of Gotham could consider them dead for the next seven days. And they would be taking every minute.
