He used to play rugby before he became an NFL color commentator, and he’s very publicly at odds with his more successful sportscaster father Richard Avalanche (who used to play NFL football). Momma Avalanche does not have a first name, as she is the plastic faced blonde wife to Richard Avalanche and she looks like every single other republican wife in existence.

Dick has a YOLO tattoo on his forearm and will give the most snide and venomous football commentary while subtly implying that rugby is worlds better than American football. If he’s too hungover to care about the quality of his work, he’ll default to the kind of commentary you hear during Big 10 games, something along the lines of “you see, Chungo, in order for the Bucks here to win the game, they’ll need to score more points than the opposing team.”

Early in his career, there was a widely publicized incident where his mic was still on while a ref made a penalty call. The audio of “THAT WASN’T A HOLDING YOU JACKASS DO YOU USE THE EYES IN YOUR HEAD? LET ME OUT OF THE BOX I WILL COME DOWN THERE AND TEAR HIS LEG OFF” spawned a bunch of trap remixes.

He has a scar on the upper part of his inner left arm from when he got way too drunk at the open bar at an industry mixer, and Momma Avalanche had to haul him back into the family’s SUV, much to father Richard Avalanche’s chagrin (Momma Avalanche has terrifying French tip acrylic claw nails).
