On #ANZACDay we pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, remembering so many innocent people who lost their lives, caught up in the absolute atrocity of war. During the horrors of war, the town of Allonville was a place of respite for Australian soldiers. The brilliant young poet and @voicesofbirralee singer Joshua Clifford was inspired to write these words for a visit, performed by the choir on location in Allonville a couple of years ago. Delighted to announce that my music for young singers is now published and available for online download from #SingScore! Friends from #SydneyChildrensChoir & @gondwanachoirs may remember my piece "I Don't Want To Live On The Moon" and I've received many emails seeking permission to perform it over the years. However, I was unable to obtain rights to the lyrics beyond Sydney Children's Choir's performances, so I collaborated again with the brilliant young poet and Voices of Birralee member Joshua Clifford and re-worked the piece to become "Flying Home." Thanks to Joshua's beautiful words, the piece is even better than its original version, and it's now available for purchase from SingScore.
