I’m a firm believer in Elain’s future connection with the harp. A handful of my theories involve her potential connection to world-walking, but I freaked out a bit at noticing this specific line.
The harp can move things from one’s soul to another.
As in, earthen magic of Dusk?
As in, could it move a mating bond from one soul to another?
I love the idea that Azriel and Elain are already true mates and something involving the cauldron’s corruption messed with their real bond, but this definitely gave me pause. I wonder if both things can be true- the harp is even cauldron made. So is Truth-Teller, Gwydion (which I strongly believe will be Elain’s) and Elain herself. If the corrupted bond is Cauldron made, there’s now just so many ways it could be undone. But the fact that that specific ability is tied to the trove item that I’ve always thought Elain would wield is veryy interesting. (My brain is also spinning with possibilities again about how Elain might rid the corrupted void inside the Cauldron too AHHH)
