Apparition d'une "Bucket List" ou les Sims peuvent collecter des objectifs et gagner des récompenses pour les atteindre – mais ne vous inquiétez pas s'ils n'y parviennent pas ! Si un Sim meurt avec une affaire inachevée, il peut toujours vivre (?) ses rêves en tant que fantôme et toujours gagner des récompenses.

La récompense ultime pour avoir terminé les listes de choses à faire et les affaires inachevées est la renaissance.

Pour les Sims qui souhaitent vivre du côté obscur, il existe deux nouvelles carrières : une carrière de croque-mort hors écran et une carrière active de Faucheur qui vous permettront d'aller travailler pour Grim dans son bureau secret ainsi que de voyager pour récolter des âmes.

Il y a aussi beaucoup de plaisir étrange à découvrir en dehors du temps. Explorez les cryptes, développez vos compétences en thanatlogie, collectionnez des cartes de tarot et adoptez même un corbeau de compagnie.

La mort affecte différents Sims de différentes manières. Créez des rituels de deuil entièrement personnalisés et décorez les cercueils et les tombes selon les souhaits du Sim décédé ou de ses proches.

Il existe 4 types de deuil que les Sims peuvent vivre en fonction de leur personnalité et de leur relation avec le défunt. Les Sims peuvent également se préparer à leur propre mort en créant des testaments et en décidant à qui transmettre les héritages, les biens et les enfants en cas de décès.

Le voyage ne se termine pas avec la mort. Les Sims peuvent continuer à incarner des fantômes et même apprendre de nouveaux pouvoirs surnaturels. Les fantômes qui sont utiles tout en hantant gagneront de l'essence de bonne volonté, tandis que les fantômes qui pensent que c'est amusant d'être effrayant gagneront de l'essence de peur. Les deux essences peuvent être vendues contre des Simoléens.
