Prehistoric Era - San Tribe
Abeeku San doesn’t like to talk about his past. At age 18, he began to roam the world of Oasis Springs, the only world he has ever known. Young, strong, and wise, he did not encounter too much trouble for these dangerous days. Abeeku came across a land high on a hill with a small oasis of it’s own, untouched by others so far. There, he began to build himself a small fire, and weeks later, a hut to take shelter in during the night. In the Oasis, he could find fish to eat, and nearby plants provided herbs, fruits, and vegetables. In such a blessed land, Abeeku never want to bed hungry.Â
It was on the land that a young woman stumble towards his oasis, on a hunt for food herself. Ama was from a very small nearby village, and Abeeku offered her one of his fish and a walk home. The two began to meet frequently to hunt together, until the day Abeeku suggested they start their own tribe together.Â
Abeeku and Ama married, and soon they found themselves expecting a child. The happy couple stayed up late the night Ama’s stomach was the fullest.Â
“The child will be born soon,” Ama said softly, using a stick to push the ashes of the campfire.Â
“There is no time too soon,” Abeeku replied. “I cannot wait to meet my son.”Â
It was then and there that Ama went into labor, the ashes of the fire still on her fingertips.Â
When her midwife placed the baby in her arms, Ama smeared the ash onto the babe’s chest.
“My daughter,” Ama said proudly. “The first child of the San tribe. We shall call you Asha.”Â
