I'm sorry if you just got a ton of likes from me, I sort of just started scrolling and kept going

I know crowns and the other species (I sadly cannot remember the names of) are your own making, but what made you come up with them? They're all so thoroughly fleshed out, you've spent a ton of time on them! Are they open species as well? I absolutely adore them everytime you post your art ^^

Crowns and shlorpians are my two projects, with shlorpians being an adaptation of the race of the same name from Hulu’s Solar Opposites. I love the goofy one-off pieces of alien trivia the show drops about their aliens, it made it a fun challenge to translate the cartoon logic and bits to something biologically plausible (all while keeping the silly naming scheme and maintaining as many unrelated lore pieces as possible).

Crowns were a idea I came up with from seeing a lack of present-day alien stories where the aliens are not the bad guys and not humanoid. I wanted an alien race that evolved realistically and was somewhat easy to draw. Crowns went through a ton of iterations, eventually landing on a non-simian quadruped bauplan, which I hadn’t seen done too often. I take inspiration from budgies, cows, and elephants.

YES POPPY I LOVE HIM!!!

Ok Poppy is a cyborg (as you know). If you look up the meaning of Poppies, you see that they mean death and remembrance.

Well, Poppy used to be Mick (yknow...like the og sniper) but after an accident in which respawn did not work, he died. And Engineer, who Sniper was very close to him, is destroyed. He works for months trying to bring him back, and it results in Poppy. Basically after coming back to life, he doesn't remember anything. All he knows is that he used to be fully human (what is a human lol), and maybe a few fuzzy memories and thats it. He doesn't even have a name because he can't remember it. But Engie is there, and he's trying to get Mick back.

The most obvious mechanical parts are his right eye, his right arm, and his right leg. That was the side that was damaged when he was first killed. He's got scarring on his face, and all down his right side but most of it is machine. His eye has different colors for different modes! His basic mode is a light blue color, his happier mode is green, and when he's really angry it can turn red!

His arm and leg look alike. They're like a light and thin reflective metal with wires and "bones" inside, and in some parts there are glass where you can see wires and motors. His "arm" reaches most of his right shoulder in terms of metal, and his "leg" takes up parts of his hip. Lots of damage was done on him lol.

And inside of his body he has more robotic parts. Some of his brain was replaced with technology and while most of his damaged organs could he replaced, his heart couldnt. So he has sort of a mechanical addition on his heart!
