Simple Enough?
I find it irritating and hilarious when I see people crossing the street where a sign of āNo Crossingā or āNo Jaywalkingā is located in an island in the middle of it. The only way that a person would not see it if heās blind, yeah thatās how visible it is. What makes it even funnier is the fact that thereās a pedestrian lane located less than 50 steps away from the said spot.
A similar scenario is when the drivers of PUV drop-off or pick-up passengers in a āNo Loading Zone/No Unloading Zoneā. However, for this there are times that itās not the driverās fault but the passengerās. When a passenger yells para and the driver continues to drive to get to a valid unloading zone the passenger would continue to yell and will start to get irritated and frustrated at the driver since heāll have to walk back again just to get to where he should be going. Yeah that would suck at some point but if itās for the sake of following a simple rule of dropping off in official unloading zones then I wouldnāt mind it at all.
Letās move on the driverās side where theyāll stop anywhere and anytime they want and there are times that they do it without moving their vehicle to the side of the road first therfore they are causing some sort of a traffic and even some accidents at certain times. These drivers would even get mad at the passengers who are moving slowly. Seriously, whoās fault is it?
Of course it would be the driverās fault. I know I said earlier that there are times that it is the passengerās fault. It would only look like that it is the passengerās fault where it really is just an effect of a cause. If drivers would not pick-up the passengers who are not in a loading zone then these passengers would start to wonder where is it and it may be frustrating for them especially during the first time but in the future theyāll know that they should call for these PUVs on the loading zones only.
Just because thereās no official in sight it doesnāt mean that weāre allowed to go against the rules. As I mentioned in one of my posts before (Put the Blame on...): Rules are not made to be broken. Rules are made to be followed.
These are not difficult rules to follow right? And they were made so that weāll live in a better place. However, that really isnāt the case right? How can we expect to have a better country if we canāt even follow these simple rules?
This is like getting some coins from our parentās wallet without asking any permission. Yes, the result would not be evident for now but in the future it will come out. No matter how little is the amount it still is considered as stealing. Just like the candy wrappers that we fail to dispose properly where collectively they really caused some damage to the environment.
Simple and little things that actually made a huge impact for the worse. Simple and little things that can make a huge impact for the better.
