Delilah felt a sense of comfort knowing that Simon found her company welcoming, making her smile grow slightly as she moved some strands of hair out of her face. She felt a bit exposed without the mask, and she wasn't entirely sure why. She had never felt this way around people before, but maybe it was cause now she knew that these people could see her for what she truly was. She pushed the feeling down as his words hit her ears, making her realize he was right. Being glued to her work as much as she was, wasn't healthy, not in the slightest. She wasn't sure she could change the way she lived her life, as her only comfort has always been the hospitals and her patients.
"I know you're right...but part of me also knows that if I miss one moment, life could be lost cause I'm not there. It would..." She shook her head for a second as memories flooded it for just a moment, her smile dropping as she sighed. "I would do anything for my patients, even if it means sleeping on a cot in the hospital. I know it's not entirely the best, but it keeps them alive." She looked back up at Simon as she took a long sip of her drink. When she heard his offer, she smirked slightly at the context. She knew that he meant he would probably buy her something for her apartment, or even build it, given his large build and rough hands.
But, to any other stranger, those words may have been taken into an entirely different context. She couldn't help but giggle as she thought about it a bit more, resting a hand on his shoulder as she let him see her smirk. "I think that would be lovely, Simon. As long as you aren't just trying to make it more cozy, by getting into my pants." She joked, teasing him as she laughed aloud, making her snort lightly.
