No One Is Safe - ARC Review
Ellie Marney has done it again!! I am so honored to have been chosen as an ARC reader for No One Is Safe! I love this new version of Simon, it was such an interesting change to see him go from the "Big Bad All-Knowing Villain" in None Shall Sleep to the "Guy Who Doesn't Understand Why He Can't Fight A Random Pimp." Simon being a little bit pathetic is the one thing we never got to see him do in the previous series, and it was so fun to watch him try, fail, and get up to attempt to fix his mistakes. I really enjoyed watching both Simon and Nomi struggle to reconcile Simon's past with his present. Nomi is SUCH a good addition to this universe, I love how Marney tends to lightly sprinkle details about characters' pasts throughout her books in a way that pushes readers to do some detective work in order to figure out what really happened. I'm really looking forward to uncovering more details about Nomi in the next book. While this is technically a continuation/spin-off of the None Shall Sleep series, I firmly believe that it would be an equally enjoyable read without knowing Simon's backstory.
