Coming out gone wrong version3
Simon is so shippable I love him. Gaston's hair is a mess but oh well I tried my best.
Coming out gone wrong version 2
Told you I was going to draw the same meme with other characters hehe.
Sitteo is no longer my otp, but they will always have a special place in my heart so I obviously had to start with them.
I did it again.
I don’t know how it happened, but it di.
I feel into a Simbar hole, i just finished rewatching Caitlin’s 4 hours video on youtube and now I miss my babiesðŸ˜ðŸ©·
My hc's on Simon's family
So after watching Soy Luna 4 and getting another nothing burger from Simon's backstory I decided to talk more about my headcanons about his family. Truth to be told I like torturing the characters from the shows I like so beware (he isn't even that traumatized compared to what I have in store for some other charactres :) but just a little heads up.)
Simon is the oldest of 4, he has 2 brothers and a sister (Francisco (also called Paco), Natalia and Jose, in that order).
Their dad walked out on them when Simon was around 9-10 and dissapeared of the earth's face.
His dad was the main bread winner so his mom had to step up overnight to keep the kids afloat.
His father's family kept quiet on his dad's location so they couldn't sue him for child shupport and overtime cut them out of their lives.
His mom cycled though many jobs, waitress, housecleaning staff at a hotel, retail worker, spa worker, street vendor amongst many others. Unfortunately since she couldn't have the most flexible hours as he had to look out for the kids, once the tourism season ended in Cancun she would lose her job and have to search for another one. In the best cases her hours were greatly reduced and she would need to work a second or even third job to survive.
His maternal grandmother would try to help them out whenever she could, either by providing childcare or sending money, but due to her age and health issues it wasn't much she could give them.
Because all of the above Simon began looking out for this siblings when he was arround 11 yo.
He would take them to and from school, make sure their homework was done. If his mom was working late he would prepare "dinner" for him and his siblings (sandwiches or cereal), clean out the house and wash their uniforms.
Slowly overtime Simon began taking more and more of his mothers load. Not because she asked him to but because he felt that was his duty as the "man" of the house and the oldest.
His and his siblings teachers knew that if anything happened to anyof them, it was best to reach out to Simon instead of his mom.
Years later he would find out where is dad had gone all those years ago, and worst of all discover that he had formed another family in which he was a loving husband and present father.
When he became 15/16 (idk when you can start working in Mexico, but based on my countries laws its around this age when you can w/ ur parents permision) he began working to bring extra income to the house.
Focusing so much on his siblings, working, and keeping hishouse tidy made him neglect his studies and he ended up having a hard time graduating.
His siblings also began to see him as a parental figure and began developing codependent tendencies with him and he was parentified af. (I actually have a project in which I plan on expanding on this idea and how hard it was when he moved out hehe)
Since he hard a hard time with school, he doesn't want to go to colled as he thinks it will be a "waste of money" since he isn't the "brightest". (Simon is incredibly smart but he never had time to study back then, so he is unaware of his own inteligence.)
In the back of him mind he would love to attend college, but is doesn't even know what he would like to study, and it would probably become a financial burden on his family which he is trying to prevent.
His mom sort of has a feeling about this but he denies it as he knowns she feels bad about how much she relied on him growing up.
His family life is much more stable when the story begins and his mom has found love again and even is remarried.
His family (specially his grandmother) has been pushing him sometime to follow his own dreams and do something for himself as most of his childhood he spent it taking care of others and not himself.
After much encouraging and a flip of a coin, he packs his bags and follows Luna to Buenos Aires (and we already know how the story goes).
And I think that was pretty much it. If I get any other ideas I will make a reblog or something :p

Quinceañeras
Re post of one of my first post in my og account, as I plan on using some of this hc in future works and I have also changed/added some idea.
So I recently attended a Quinceañera, which is party that is thrown for girls who turn 15 in several parts of Latin America to represent they are women now. This made me question how would each of the Soy Luna characters act in this setting.
Depending on the country where it happens there are different moments in the party, but in general there is the following structure: guest arrive before the quinceañera (the birthday girl) and then she does her grand entrance, then she dances with her father (and sometimes her brothers/ cousins/ closest male friends), speeches are given and finally there is a small representation to show she is no longer a little girl (either her parents gift her a doll that looks like her and is meant to be her last doll, or her dad changes her sneakers for hells, amongst many others). People then have dinner and the actual party begins.
During it they play all kinds of music and sometimes the quinceañera and her ladies or chambelanes have a special choreo prepared and they do it in front of everyone. Late into the night the hora loca (crazy hour) starts and the music gets louder, everyone gets loose and sometimes light up accessories or balloons are given to the guest so everyone goes crazy. Depending on the quinceañeras wishes you can either give her a gift or some money (the amount is up to you). Women are expected to go in dresses or other formal clothes while men where suits (unless stated otherwise). Meanwhile the quinceañera is usually in a ball gown, and wears a tiara.
Luna
Her parents threw her a sort of big quinceañera with her family and friends
Simon was obviously her main Chambelan
Miguel got teary eyed when they danced their waltz.
Monica made a slide show of all of Luna's childhood pictures, during it her and Miguel gave speeches of how grateful they were to have Luna in her life.
Later on Simon, and her friends and other family members also had the opportunity to make a speech.
She wore a fuchsia (or a rather colorful dress) dress, but it wasn't a ball gown.
Like the social butterfly she is she is dancing around and having fun with people
Gives really personalized gifts.
Ends up leaving with many more friends than who she originally came in with.
Has been a dama at her friend's quinces once or twice.
Rarely off the dance floor
Goes crazy in the hora loca
Doesn't know many of the songs but she vibes with them on a spiritual level.
At some point lost the crown she was wearing
Ambar
Sharon went all out on her Quinceañera to show off.
There were at least 100 people in her party, but most of them were Sharon's guests who she wanted to impress
Ambar knew Sharon expected her to control her friends so she wouldn't be made to look ridiculous in front of her guests, so the whole party Ambar was stressed about controlling people and reaching Sharon's expectation so unfortunately she didn't enjoy it much.
People talked about her party for WEEKS.
Wore a really sparkly crown
Light pink dress, really extravagant and puffy.
Her hair and make up where perfectly styled (probably in a bun and soft glam due to Sharon's request)
Had a second, shorter (but still stuning) dress she wore the second half of her party to move more freely
Sharon was really controlling with every single detail of her party, so it was more of Sharon's taste than her own.
For obvious reasons she didn't have a waltz with her father. They stated they threw a smaller party for her immediate family in which they danced together, but due to work neither of her parents could be on the bigger party.
Jazmin's party was secretly her favorite as no adult could watch her and judge her.
If Matteo and her were dating at that time, he was probably her Chambelan.
Simon
Makes sure everyone is having fun
If he sees any girl dancing on their own he'll keep them company, specially when people are dancing in pairs.
Aunts love to drag him away to dance with them.
Is usually a chambelan
He's sung during some of his family members' quinces.
Tends to tear up at family speeches.
If there is a slide show with the speeches he'll be for sure crying.
He had to be the last to make a speech at Luna's quince as he kept weeping.
The second his favorite songs start playing is game over for him. He is screaming the lyrics at the top of his lungs.
Not a great dancer, but he is having to much fun to care.
Depending on how close he is with the birthday girl he will gift money or something he thinks she will like.
He'll sit down every once in a while to recharge his energy but he always come but to keep dancing with his family or friends.
More than once has been in charged of making sure no one takes the center pieces off the tables.
Matteo
I hc that Matteo came to Buenos Aires when he was 14/15 so the first parties he experience in Argentina where quinces.
Matteo had never heard of a quince until he got his first invite, and he was very confused when Gaston tried to explain the concept to him.
Gaston had to drag him to the party, as he didn't like the idea of it.
Thought the whole idea of wearing a suit to a party was ridiculous (specially since I think his dad would drag him to his work galas, which he hates)
Disliked the first quince he went until the actual party began and then he became the biggest fan of quinces.
Often gifts large quantities of money, even if he doesn't know them well.
Managed to convince Gaston's parents to let them stay till the party ended (around 2-3am, specially cuz it was the first time he trully showed excitementfor anythingin BA) the first party they went (and then to all of the following ones).
His spanish wasn't great at the time but still had a blast singing (or more like trying to sing) the lyrics to the songs.
The more parties he went to the more his musical taste expanded.
Didn't originally know how to dance salsa, bachata or reggaeton but was a quick learner.
Almost had a heart attack when he heard the first reggaeton song they played.
Had another one immediately after once he saw how people dance to it, specially considering the quinceañera's family and other adults were around.
He says he isn't a fan of reggaeton (he is lying) and knows almost as many songs as Ramiro.
By the time the hora loca came, he was buzzing with excitement as things were only getting crazier.
You'll only see him sitting down if he is eating or at the beginning of the ceremony, hard to get him off the dance floor.
Gaston
Is a pretty good dancer and girls like to go and dance with him.
If he sees anyone is standing to the side of the dance and looks like they want to join he'll help them.
Teaches people how to dance.
Keeps an eye on Matteo to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid
Tries to give a thoughtful gift or a good amount of money as a gift.
Was asked to be a chambelan more than once but has only ever been one for his family members.
Not the biggest fan of parties but he always has fun with Matteo.
Not a big fan of reggaeton.
Prefers salsa, merengue or bachata.
Always says he won't act to crazy in la hora loca, always lies.
Nina
As shown in the series Nina didn't have many friends before Luna so I think she only ever when to family member's quinces.
Stayed by either her mom or her dad's side the entire time.
Had a really small quinceañera party due to her mom's insistence.
Mora did her dress which was navy blue (and short)
One of the few days in which her parents didn't fight while being in the same room (one of her favorite memories)
Her dad the offered her to send her on a trip (which despite her mom's concerns, Ana also agreed), but Nina instead asked for a camera.
Jim
In Spain quinces aren't a common celebration (or at least to the extent of the ones done in latam) so I think she didn't have one.
Dances with Yam the whole night
Loves the dessert table and is one of the first ones there, even if she is sat all the way across the room.
Was more excited for Yam's quince than Yam herself.
When he parents saw how excited she was for Yam's 15 they offered to throw her one, but she declined.
Instead Yam and her went on a trip with Jim’s family in Spain. Later it became a tradition to travel together for both of their birthdays.
Often forgets about finding a dress for the party but Yam has her back, the are often either matching or in similar dresses.
Prefers giving money instead of worrying if they will like her gift.
Yam
Didn't really want a party but her parents threw her one anyway (thought they didn't go all out to "respect" her wishes).
Ended up having a lot of fun
Prepared a dance with Jim.
I think she would have made the design for her Quince dress and her parents would pay someone to make it. (she originally wanted to make it herself, but realized she didn't have the time, materials or experience to do so, but this sparked her fashion design interest).
Jim was the only one who knew what her dress was like
Takes Jim with her to her family member's quinces. Everyone already treats them like sisters and expect to see Jim.
I honestly don't know what color dress she would wear, but it wasn't to extravagant.
Wore little make up
After her quinces Jim and her made it a tradition to have sleepovers whenever they attended any other parties.
Prefers giving an actual gift over money when she has the chance.
Ramiro
LOVES the hora loca, sets the mood during it.
They tend to send him in the middle of the dance floor so he can show his moves.
Whenever they don't like the music the DJ is playing he is the one they sent to ask for another song.
Terrible at following the dress code, but he doesn't care.
Family members either love him or hate him no in between.
Loves reggaeton and trap (only once or twice he hasn't known a song and it was because its was very niche or just released)
Great at dancing on his own, the second he is dancing with someone else he seems to loose all rhythm.
Jazmin
Wore deep purple dress.
Full gram make up and fancy up do
Her party had a really strick dress code (the only one who managed to get Ramiro to sort of dress up as she told him otherwise he wouldn't be allowed in)
Gives fashion tips and comments on people's outfits (sometimes unsolicited).
Everyone knows not to let her get close to the quinceañera as she doesn't have the best filter.
Has gone to more than a party in heels that are too tall for her and feel, she never learns any better.
Somehow convinced her parents to split her party into two sections. One for the grown ups and another for the teens so everyone could have fun and listen to the songs they liked.
She also served alcohol, several people got their first hangover at her party.
Delfi always has to remind her to bring a gift and make sure its something the other person would like.
Delfi
Delfi usually takes her digital camera to take pictures. (Jazmin and her hadn't created the Fab&Chic yet)
70% of the picture she takes are of her friends and her.
Mint green / turquoise dress
Danced with some of her cousins and her younger brothers
While practicing the dance she was going to do, she ran them like a military commandant.
The dance was perfect and everyone praised her for it.
She got acrylic nails and had no idea how to use them but loved them.
Her family gifted her a bracelet she always wears (Jazmin has learned not to mention it doesn't go with her outfits)
Considering she stress herself making sure Jazmin's gift is appropriate she ends up gifting money.
Acts like she doesn't want to dance, but it doesn't take much to make her dance.
Pedro
Kinda shy, people need to drag him to the dance floor.
You can often see him on his phone
Loves going for the food
In high-school he had another band and they did a couple of events in some quinces.
Older family member's love him.
Also not great wit the dress code, but way better than Ramiro.
He dances stiffly.
Nico
At first he is full of energy but as the night goes on his energy drastically falls.
He is a great dancer if you managed to find him at the beginning of the party.
When he was younger he tend to be much more extroverted.
Doesn't have any siblings or aunts/uncles/cousins so he has only ever been to classmates quinces.
Leaves early.
Kinda personal but I seriously miss the Simón from the original show
Everytime I watch a scene, I see a screenshot or I remember something about him, my mind keeps reminding me that the Simón I used to like SOSOSO MUCH is now an asshole
I don’t understand why they have to ruined his character when there were other ways to make him more interesting instead of ruining all his cualities, virtues and dreams.
Also, I feel like I’m not really able to enjoy his moments now due to what I said. It’s difficult to explain, but looking on how people now HATES Simón… Geez
I miss the Simón who wanted the best for Luna, the one who doesn’t want her to choose or to feel uncomfortable, neither to see her give up on her dreams. I miss the Simón who was friendly most of the time, who really has an purpose and the one who could help a girl change.
I could simply ignore that SL4 exists and Still enjoying his character, but is difficult when mostly everyone hates him for ruining Lutteo and act like someone else, also because is something canon sadly
Is he a spider? 💜
