#simblr gratitude day
I'm not shy, but I am hesitant to engage with people because you just never know, but I'm happy to say that, since I've been here, every interaction I've had has been positive.
and simblr is just amazing to me. with so much to see and do, I can hardly articulate all the reasons why, but if I had to pick one thing, it's the people. folks from everywhere, places you know and places you don't, doing their own thing with this swiss army knife of a game.
in particular, there are a handful of people that have had the greatest impact on my time in this community.
@therichantsim, @shesthespinstersimmer, @cinamun, @nightlifeseries, @rainymoodlet - interesting and thought provoking stories that I get to enjoy regardless of whether I'm wearing my reader's hat or writer's hat. sincerely engaging with me when I engage with their stories. and just being cool peeps in general.
@oatberrytea and @kashisun - among other things, being a warm, cheerful presence in the community; worth their weight in gold.
@xldkx and @pictureamoebae - whether they're writing a tutorial themselves or offering links to other resources, they have done so much to help people curate their game experience to suit them. when it comes to the whats and whys of things having anti-gatekeepers like them in the community has made it possible for me to explore more avenues of the game than I had previously considered. And of course their cc and recolors are always a gift.
simblr is such a motley crew... organic gameplayers, challenge survivors, world renovators, architects, fashion houses, storytellers, CAS warriors, cc creators, mod makers, spectators, and more... and I adore you all.
I saved the best for last...
@igotsnothing - a comrade, a cheering section (even when things are keeping me from doing anything to cheer about), a friend, a kindred spirit even. there's a post going around about how all it takes is a word or a brief exchange and then you just click with someone. when I saw it, Igs immediately came to mind. on my dash, I just love their short stories and inspired edits, and I feel like their longer stories belong in an anthology of favorite tropes made just for me. off my dash, they've encouraged me, laughed with me, and talked shop with me. their presence and friendship has truly made simblr an even better place for me. and to think it all started because we both feel that Moonwood Mill is more Appalachia than Pacific Northwest.
my sincerest gratitude to you all 💚💚💚
