«The Happiness»

I began this work in November, when chapter 7 just came out and almost nothing hinted at the nightmare that began in Cates’ arc 2. I was then full of impressions of the run of Costa and some comics from the 90s, which I managed to read. And I read about all the rest here, on the tumblr. Perhaps, I had never before believed so much in someone’s fictional love. This story has become something special for me. Yes, Eddie with the symbiote had many problems, but they solved them, they moved forward. By the time they began to be together again, they had already traveled a long way, grew as personalities, but it was clear that they still had much to overcome in the future. And I believed that they would succeed in this, maybe it will not be right away, but eventually. After all, most of their relationship now is love and respect for each other. I am very grateful to Costa for this.

And I wanted to convey the happiness and joy that I experienced at that moment in the only possible way for me - through sculpture. And probably, the image turned out to be composite. I took a lot from Venom of Stegman. I really liked how he drew a symbiote, some panels just fascinated me. Even more, but mostly in expressing emotions, I was inspired by @tench, there was so much warmth and love in her drawings, and I thought how did she manage to convey this? And how do I do this? I took a smile from chapter #154. Although in the end there was little left from it. And everything else just somehow laid itself on its own, as it needed.

This work is very important to me. Made in a period of great happiness, shared with and multiplied by creativity, it was for me a reminder of love, acceptance and shared happiness. I just couldn’t pass by and not smile back.
