Elissa: Lucas! Alice is home on break, she might hear you. 

Lucas: We’re on the phone, it’s fine. Unless she’s a genius hacker or knows someone who’s a genius hacker then we’re fine. Does she?

Lucas: Is she home?

Lucas: Because I can’t. I don’t know if you wanted to know about us. You were already happy with your life back then so I didn’t think I should say anything about this.

Darien: I wouldn’t mind knowing I have families outside of my uncle and Eve, you know?

Lucas: Look, the doctor is out.

Darien: I hope everything’s fine. I’m a bit worried.

Darien: Calm down, Carlisle. He knows what he’s doing.

Carlisle: I know. I’m just...worried.

Darien: Why are you worried? Athy told me that he’s a talented healer. And he’s got that essence from the world tree. It’s going to work.

Carlisle: But what if it doesn’t?

Darien: Have faith in him. See? Her complexion looks better than before. It’s working.

Carlisle:...

Darien: I trust him. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt her or your baby. He could’ve chosen not to help but he came all the way from Cordelia for us.

Carlisle: I guess...

Darien: She’ll be fine. I’m sure of it.

Carlisle: We’ll see.

Darien: How did it go? Is she okay now?

Lucas: Thankfully, it went well. Her body is not rejecting the essence and I healed some of the damages from the inside. But...

Carlisle: But?

Lucas: I think you should let the doctors check on her and induce the labor. Her body is healed and it’s safe to do it as soon as you can while I’m still here just in case anything goes wrong.

Carlisle: But you said the treatment went well? Shouldn’t it be okay for her to continue the pregnancy as usual?

Lucas: Yes. But she’s gone through months of pain and I don’t think it’s wise to continue as usual. She’s already at the stage where she can safely give birth without harming both her life and the child.

Carlisle: I see...I’ll ask the doctors to check on her and see if they’ll agree to induce a labor.
