well. i think. there's a couple things i could point out about it. i suppose.

just because something's been done before doesn't mean it's good lol like yeah maybe it's similar to something that's happened before but that doesn't really make it,,, better tho

cheongi and alicia are completely different characters both in background, personality, motivations, etc. like. they couldn't be farther apart from one another. cheongi is a peasant girl from joseon era korea. she's been taking care of her ill father since she was tiny. she's physically incapable of taking a rest when there's stuff to be done because that's all she's known her entire life. berkis has to force her to take a rest because she will make herself ill by working too hard. alicia is,,, a noble. the queen at that. yeah, she worked hard to get to the throne but even when she was last in line she was still an heir to the crown. she's diligent yes, but she's always had people serving her in one way or another. she's not the one that does the work of another person, she's the person that has people working for her. hell that's literally what made her take interest in lloyd in the first place! that she wanted him to work for her! she wanted to squeeze the last bit of use out of him! does this sound like a woman who would do her husband's work for him while he lazes around??

and also related to that last point cheongi isn't doing berkis' job lol she's doing her own thing! if anything berkis would love for his wife to slow down a little and laze around with him. please he's so sleepy just five decades more-

and finally! cheongi actively makes berkis less lazy than he naturally is! you'd think getting married to cheongi would've ensured berkis never have to do anything ever again but you'd be wrong! cheongi coming to his life increased the amount of work berkis had to do and also gave him one extra reason to worry about what's going on with the world outside of his naps. spoilers for the sequel but cheongi literally dropped berkis off at rakiel's so he could put him to work. this woman is not only not doing her husband's work for him she's literally the reason he wakes up every morning to do tasks much to his horror ajksdhjka

so. yeah. diligent wife and lazy husband works for cheongi and berkis because their personalities, backstory and relationship allow it and actually make sense for them. it does not for lloyd and alicia imo
