Okay, so this was supposed to be something for @silvermender for their birthday last year...but it’s way past that point now, so it’s just something I whipped up and finally finished up to some degree of “finished”. This is their character, Fideo in their newest iteration (I just made up the outfit though). Enjoy!

These scene cuts are kind of difficult to describe, because they can be a mixture of pre-planning but also spontaneous or adjust according to what i feel will best serve the overall chapter. For the recent change,  i’ve been meaning to get back to Weed Aeschylus, as his mini appearance was around page 4236 and we’re now on 4420+. Chapter 12 is pretty long as it is (by FAR the longest ffak chapter) and I don’t mind that, but I do want to get my Aeschylus scenes in. They’re now the most important ones to do now that we’ve got rome to bed, effectively showing the end of his long day at least.. sleep well murder man.Before letting Chain/King/Locket have their conversation, I thought it would be best to save that for another time since it would be memorable enough that we’d know where those three characters are. (meaning, once i return to them- i figure readers generally would only take a minute before remembering oh yes! chain just showed up and interrupted the weird hekaton shampoo session.) I also feel like there will also be less pressure to quickly wrap up their interactions so when I return, i hope i can really sit and let them banter on without worrying about another scene impending. Sometimes anticipating a change can make me want to rush things along when I don’t need to, just because I’ll be itching to draw something else. (in this case, Aeschylus. and Aeschylus has been waiting quite a while to be in the spotlight!) Bantering scenes are really fun for me, so i don’t want to feel like I wasted that opportunity because i was anxious to meet my other plot-related-story goals. Chain deserves the time and patience because she’s hilarious. Also, I wanted to shift the scene based on Chains words-- specifically, ‘Captive Prisoner.’ (Sometimes, scene changes are based on phrases or words characters say as well. This also happened earlier in the chapter with rock saying agent spoon looked like a human-- prompting a glimpse into his complicated history.) Anyway, hope that gives some insight!
