This weekend we had a few pals over for a pizza dinner and I just had to wear my brand new sparkly silver tee, bought from H&M last week.
As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Light grey with silver polka dots on it, it was the sparkliness (I made that up) that caught my eye. Actually, theyâre not really polka dots, theyâre more like little star bursts. I know the tee will go with so many things in my wardrobe and I canât wait to try them all out!
We took some photos on our bedroom terrace before our guests arrived but it was so windy, it was difficult to get some decent shots.

Whenever we have a pizza night, we eat A LOT of yummy homemade pizza so loose fitting jeans were a necessity. My H&M boyfriend jeans were the ideal pair, which I teamed with my uber gorgeous purple shoes. I just LOVE these shoes. Iâve had them years and theyâre still as good as new. We found them in a shoe shop in Lagoa (Algarve) that closed down a few years ago. I also have a pair in grey which hubby bought as a gift for me (heâs such a sweetheart). For heels, theyâre surprisingly very comfortable.
Because we were eating in, I didnât need a handbag so my accessories consisted of this gorgeous silver necklace (another gift from hubby several years ago) which looks cute with the silver tee, a super cheap floral bangle that I bought from a âmarketâ stall at Aqua Shopping Centre and this stunning Swarovski ring which hubby bought as a surprise for me a few years ago. He thought it was so me because it made him think of fairies and magic â how adorable is that?
It was quite chilly over the weekend so a cardigan was a must. I figured a red one would be a nice contrast to the purple shoes. Again, this is from H&M (what a surprise!) and it gets a lot of wear (itâs been on the blog a lot lately). I do love the colour. And it goes really well with the silver tee.

Speaking of colours, I was reminded of What Not To Wear recently (the US version with Stacey and Clinton) which I used to binge watch because I loved it so much. Stacey used to bang on about how clothes didnât have to match, they just had to go. I think this is such great advice when youâre putting together an outfit. When I was younger, I always thought everything should be matchy-matchy â you know, red shoes with red handbag and red belt, for example. But Staceyâs advice makes for much more interesting outfits, donât you agree?
