One of Sun’s greatest fears, once the smoke and fire had cleared at Haven Academy and the decision was made to head to Vacuo and Shade Academy was that he would, eventually, have to come to grips that Professor Stirling had been found among the dead. It was something he was pushing to the back of his mind as he patrolled the car they were in, and that’s when he saw the familiar, done up like an uptight witch hairdo, and he couldn’t help himself exploding into motion, hurriedly wrapping his arms around her ever as she grabbed him, burying his face into her shoulder to hide the tears forming in his eyes.

The gentle shake was met with a violent shock and scramble to his feet, only for Silas to fall back down upon putting pressure on. Pain shot through the injured leg as the hunter keels over into a ball. Instead of words, there are only hisses and curses that crackle along with their campfire, the flame dancing as he angrily beats against the ground.
Gods, that was a stupid injury.
His frustration is seeded in that everything that has happened to them up until this point were seemingly his fault. Granted, if Silas was alone, this would be a non-issue. But Libra was here, and he could only feel the looming disappointment over him. It would only be par for course if she smacked him behind the head, it’s only fair after all.
Looking back, amber eyes only meet for a split second before settling on the fire in front of them. Arms rest gently upon his knees before his next few words would be uttered.
“...glad you came back safe...”

Libra was probably the only reason Winter could stand upright at the moment. The other woman was keeping her standing, and Winter hated that she needed so much support, but her injuries left her incapable on her own.
