Ever wonder how the apparel printing process works? Just how does that awesome design jump off your computer screen and onto your tee-shirt? These photos give you a behind the scenes look into the silkscreen printing process and the quality of our work at SureDesign.  The featured project was done for Oliv Grill, a restaurant located in Chicago IL. The art of silkscreening is a manual process that requires close attention to detail. In the first image our colleague highlights the comparison between the original pantone swatch and the paint they manually mixed to perfection; they repeat this process for every color and every job they do for quality assurance.  The second image features a silkscreen machine with 8 arms or extensions, each one carries a carefully centered tee-shirt. Because the customer selected a dark color garment, we must first silkscreen a base layer of white paint - this is done to ensure the following layers of green paint are true to color.  The third image shows how our tee-shirt are manually painted or silkscreened. To speed up the drying process between painted layers, each tee-shirts must be unmounted and run one by one through a contraption that works similar to an oven which bakes the paint and delivers a dry garment at the end of the line. This is repeated for every layer of paint that’s done.  I hope you enjoyed our sneakpeak into our silkscreen facility.
