So Iām rewatching the Umbrella Academy in preparation for season 2. And on rewatch, I honestly donāt understand why Luther was received so very badly.
Like, in episode 5, he and Five have this little heart to heart where Luther is likeĀ āyouāre not alone anymoreā, and it is very sweet and genuine. I understand the other characters were way cooler and more likeable (I adored Klaus, personally), but Luther was not as irredeemable as fandom made it seem.
Also the child actor telling Luther that he is a young man and shouldnāt waste his life, is inherently hilarious and ridiculous and I love it.
