Despite how creepy Celo seems at first glance, he’s a chill guy. He’s a good judge of character, but not a judgmental person, if you get what I’m saying. He’s a judge but a fair one, one who believes in the good in (most) people. Of course, he still has his moments despite this. He’ll urge you not to be so hard on yourself or others even if he also struggles with the same feelings of anger and spite. It’s something the two of you work on together. Celo helps you relax and sort out your negative feelings, usually with a logic-based approach. He’s not super great with the cuddly tender type comforting, but he’s good at rationalizing. He’s also super impressed and proud of you for wanting to improve your mental health. He admires that kind of drive.
That being said, Celo will hold you whenever you want. If you’re depressed or anxious and just want hugs he’s there with open arms. If you just need to vent and aren’t looking for advice he’ll shut up and listen. He’s a good listener. He’s just not the type to coddle you and tell you ‘everything will be okay’ because he feels it’s dishonest and empty. Maybe things won’t be okay — he doesn’t know. He’s much more likely to tell you he’ll be there for you even when things aren’t okay.
Integrity is the #1 trait Celo looks for in a partner. He has trust issues and has been betrayed more times than he likes to admit. There’s a reason why he doesn’t make promises anymore. Your integrity draws him to you, though he’s wary at first — every soul color has its drawbacks. Be gentle with him. It may take some time to build a relationship with him, but once you do it’s definitely worth it. Celo is ride or die loyal to his loved ones.
Celo doesn’t care about makeup. He also thinks you’re attractive no matter what you wear because you’re you. He’ll lend you his jacket if you want to be extra cozy (and because you’re SO cute in it) and doesn’t expect you to get dressed up for dates. It’s not like Grillby’s has a dress code after all.
