@siimplewolf asked: How long until the sun explodes, you think? -says randomly and completely unprompted- unprompted / always accepting!
"We're talking physics now? How much do you know about nuclear fusion? As in, hydrogen makes a kinda-threesome and it gets heavier", she sighed, tilting her head to the side, "Rough estimate? Between five and ten billion years from now. The nuclear fusion will stop but there's not enough mass there to explode-- so no supernova, no black hole. It will just collapse. Then consider another billion, or billion and a half for it to reach the Earth and consume it."
Grabbing a bunch of markers, she started drawing a galaxy on his arm.
"My bet is on humans not making it to this point. But I'd be scamming you if you took me up on that-- The sun expands, the heat expands, the water evaporates-- humanity goes poof", a pause, "It's a given we're going to die. But I'm no physicist, why would you ask me this? If you're high and I spent a significant amount of my brain to answer this while it goes into nothingness, I'm gonna stab you with this marker."
@siimplewolf asked: Okay, one more time, from the top. If you jump or try to from here to THERE -points at 50 mts down- you're going to straight up die. ♪ · unprompted / always accepting !
Her finger touched his finger, trailing an invisible path to pinpoint exactly where he was poiting-- at her apparent doom. If there was a conclusion on the matter of jumping and dying, it was not shown on her features, eyes void and brain vacant. What followed was a weird series of movements from her head. From the finger to the ground, from Eskel to the chasm, from whatever her lost mind saw to what Eskel was defining as her death.
Squinting her eyes, Lorelei bent slightly and stared directly at the pointing finger. And then she parted her lips and took the finger inside her mouth, in a VERY normal manner.
"Instructions unclear, will break every single bone named by science!", she managed to mumble with considerable skill... taking the finger into consideration.

“Just to see what happens when you poke it.” There was no other way to describe than a curious child. Quite literally asking the Witcher to poke it with a stick. “What is it?”
🔥
Oh boy...what hot take to go for today... (Thank you!) Changes happen in adaptations and there are always going to be differences and it’s inevitable as you are working with someone else’s creative vision (your interpretation is never going to match someone else’s and that is okay) and honestly I think in terms of the Witcher a lot of those changes are actually for the better or even not really that much of a change at all in some cases. :D

Why is everyone holding your hand? Don't they know you have cooties? Ew.
❛ come on . hold my hand . you know you wanna . pretend it’s like we’re kids again , trying to climb the cliffs . ‘ a witcher is a lone hunter , but even a lone hunter can use a helping hand sometimes ’ . you can tell on me to vesemir if you catch my cooties . ❜
@siimplewolf liked for a starter (and to plot)
The bard had tagged along, as he always did. Even after the shouting, the blaming... the moment Geralt had made even faint attempts at a repairing of their friendship (despite the witcher still pretty much refusing to call it that), Jaskier had attached himself again. Was it pathetic? Possibly. But the wolf had been heading for Kaer Morhen with the Cintran princess, his child surprise. He’d always wanted to see Kaer Morhen, it was another chance he leapt at.
The trip had been long, he’d prepared himself for colder weather in the northern mountains, he’d prepped himself in all the ways he could think--- he was still very much a city boy, but he tried. He’d gotten himself set up in what he was certain was a quiet unused guest room, genuinely eager to meet any of the others. He’d been wondering what they were like, though he’d gotten very little from Geralt.
So, he’d gone to find the first he could run into. He really didn’t know what to expect. Geralt was one way, the myths and folk legends were another.
