Tuesday seminar 9.30 am
Seminar with Sylvia Shortall
This was a very insightful seminar as my project is about letters, postcards, and stamps. I can also look into travel so the signposts and postboxes she mentions and road signs and symbols were so interesting and something I can incorporate into my project and explore. Looking at the Roscrea signpost she showed was interesting, because itโs the next down from where I am from and also where I take the train to and from college, so I do see the sign very often. The post box was originally red but when we got our independence in 1922 and we painted it green which is something I want to look into as well as symbols from the train station. Colour was used to mark a really interesting significance.
