We came up with this idea 4 years ago and never thought it would ever actually happen. We asked MassArt and they said why not? Installing was a dream come true. Students were yelling to us from the dorms. It all felt so right. I feel incredibly lucky to have had this oppurtunity and to work side by side with my art accomplice. @jak_ritger @trllm_studio thank you everyone who came out a couple weeks ago to cheer us on. @Massartboston Artist statement: "Us Them" pokes fun at the binary decisions we are forced to make every day. Momentary choices divide us even within niches and sub groups. Each parking lot space mocks these subconscious voices with the labels “Us” or “Them.” The intention is to create an imaginary game everyone can take part in. Created with chalk spray paint the piece will wash away throughout the next couple weeks.
