Errands - The Debate Club
The debate club room was mostly quiet before meetings began, save for the usual sound of papers shifting across the table.
Gregory sat at the teachers desk near the front, sorting through a stack of notes with an air of importance. Every so often he would pause to straighten a page or mutter something to himself about the order of arguments.
Maury watched from nearby, hands folded behind his back.
Gregory finally looked up.
“Maury,” he said, as though the thought had only just occurred to him, “would you mind terribly fetching me a drink from the vending machine? I find it rather difficult to speak for long without one.”
Maury straightened immediately.
He hurried out into the hallway.
A few minutes later he returned, slightly out of breath, holding out the bottle.
Gregory accepted it without much ceremony.
He opened it, took a small sip, and immediately turned back to his papers.
“Now then,” he continued, as though nothing had interrupted him. Gregory then proceeded to start off the meeting.
Maury took his seat again, quietly pleased that he did something useful for Gregory.
Uh first post for like stuff story wise… not the first one I planned to post but it’s the first one I decided to draw something for so uh yah. The drawing was made back when Greg had straight bang so yeah.
